Rating: Drysuit/Wetsuit pocket
Reviewer: Don B., Saturday, June 27, 2009
It works as advertised and I have applied pockets to a wetsuit and a drysuit. They are great for a slate, xtra mask, backup light, spool etc. Just put on the wetsuit and have someone outline the pocket with chalk in an area where you can access it on your thigh. Place the wetsuit flat on a hard surface and apply the aquaseal as directed. I did purchase several xtra tubes of aquaseal per pocket to make sure that I had enough on hand. Leaving the suit on the hard surface I placed some light weights from my weight bench on the pocket to insure good contact for the 24 hours required for drying. Easy to apply and they make a great addition to your exposure suit.

Rating: The Perfect Pocket
Reviewer: Joe S., Tuesday, June 30, 2009 - View all my reviews
This pocket is the perfect size for my SMB, backup light and slate. The grommet on the bottom lets it drain easily, while the two side grommets are great for keeping everything secure. Velcro closure is solid and stable. Was easy to apply to my wetsuit, but like everyone else says, make sure you have extra Aquaseal on hand. The small tube that comes with it just isnt enough.

PURCHASED (6) OF THESE POCKETS AND INSTALLED THEM ON ALL
THREE OF MY WETSUITS. USED MCNETT BLACK NEOPRENE GLUE (3)
COATS TO INSTALL THEM. HAVE (10) DIVES USING THEM, SHOULD
HAVE INSTALLED THESE ALONG TIME AGO, MAKES STORAGE OF SMB,
SHEARS,REEL, AND STROBE, EASY AND STEAMLINED. WAS USING A
POCKET ON MY BP/W HARNESS,BUT THE THIGH POCKETS REALLY ARE
A BETTER OPTION ESPECIALLY AT THE PRICE OF $25.00 A POCKET.

Rating: Great Product/Not enough Glue
Reviewer: Shawn-Paul O., Monday, January 12, 2009
i applied the pockets to two different wet suits. the pockets are great, but for added security either attach items to the pocket or buy a zippered pocket. i have lost one item that was not bungied to the pocket. the tricky part is the glueing. one my second pocket i through out the glue that came with it and got a large container of glue. measured the width of my thigh and found it simular to my scuba tank. ed the tank in the wet suit. positioned the pocket and marked the area. then applied glue let it sit. then applied glue and let it sit. then applied glue and let it sit until really tacky applied pocket paying special attention to the corners and top of the pocket area. then applied a 1" flat webbing around the tank covering the entire pocket. that was the hard part. then applied a tightener and tightened up the strap being careful not to catch my suit. let it sit overnight in a well ventilated area. boy was i high doing this in my living room watching tv. then removed the strap and tank. this pocket is stuck solid.

Rating: Well made pocket.
Reviewer: Sam Q., Sunday, August 17, 2008 - View all my reviews
The pocket is well made, with d-rings inside and out, lays flat when empty and is divided with a mesh interior. However, the amount of glue is very optimistic for a secure mount. Get an extra tube and you will be much happier.

Rating: Handy Accessory
Reviewer: Jeremy F., Monday, June 18, 2007
the scuba dry or wetsuit pocket is a great item to have i have room to carry more gear and still remain streamlined. for the price, it was a must have item. the only detail that i found to be a drawback was the included 1/2oz of aqua seal, which was not quite adequate. i followed the directions and needed approximately another 1/2oz of aqua seal. it also required careful planning for the area needed to install, as the size dimensions were accurate (10" x 6" x 2.5" depth). i have not had any problems with the product itself and i now enjoy the additional space provided by the pocket.

Great option for suits without factory pockets. i put it on my backup viking extreme using aquaseal, and its as secure and as functional as the factory pockets on my clx450.
