Rating: Bare Trek Boots
Reviewer: Vance A. B., Wednesday, June 15, 2011
I had some hard soles. They were ultimately too small. Since I have a Bare drysuit, why not? My Bare Trek hardsole boots fit better, are much lighter and far more easier to handle in water and out, than anything Ive had to date. Great drysuit boots!! Thanks again Scuba dot com!!

"These boots were made for walking!" I have used these boots to walk on snow, sludge, and clay into the water, and have not slipped once. The back lip on the heel holds your fins in place and gives you a peace of mind while you are sculling. Also the front strap gives you an extra feeling of support as well as hiding your laces so that they do not get caught on twigs or branches while diving in ponds and lakes. Most importantly, I they come off with ease as you remove them while still in your dry suit, and cleaning them is a breeze.

Rating: Das Boot

I replaced my Neoprene boots with these for my shore dives. I have a more difficult time getting my fins on than I used to. It also takes a little bit longer suiting up for my dives. On a hot day, this makes a difference. These are of great quality and comfortable. Im planning on wheening myself from ankle weights and shedding my neoprene boots should help with that.

Rating: Good boots a bit on the big side

I really like these boots. They are nice and sturdy and fit well over my drysuit booties. The only thing is that they seem to run a bit on the big side.

Rating: Boots that want to make you kick the habbit of mounted alternatives
Reviewer: Dominick Attisani, Monday, January 29, 2007 - View all my reviews
Definately preferred to mounted boots that look like fishermans waiders. Over the 4-5mil neoprene booties these rock boots are a perfect fit. Excellent ankle support with full finning freedom. My Bio Fins fit perfectly without having to move up 2 sizes, although they are a bit large over my full sole 7mm w/s boots.
Quick on Quick off.

I have had many opportunities to use the boots on deep cold water dives on Lake Michigan. Easy to put on and take off. Very warm and great for getting in and out of a boat. Much safer with the deep treads than neoprene boots. Great boots.

Rating: BARE Trek Boots: comfortable but time-consuming
Reviewer: OSU ZOOLOGY, Tuesday, September 19, 2006
The boots are very comfortable on the shore and while diving. They keep the drysuit snug to the foot, making walking around easier as well as improving subtle fin control. On the down side, lacing, tying, and securing the boots adds another step to pre-dive gear preparations. The process will take slightly longer, but youll be glad you made the extra effort.

Good durable boots. They feel a bit heavy in the water but overall good.
