Rating: Great Compact Weights
Reviewer: Patty S S., - View all my reviews
The weight bags are compact and made of a material that is tuff and durable. Weight bag does not lose its shape size, as some weight bags tend to flaten out more and lose their shape as the material stretches. So far these bags have not done that and dont appear that they will. Good quality material. Easily identifiable by the clearly imprinted weight size number and each weight bag is colored differently. I chose to get each size weight bag, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 oz. bags in different quantities to use for snorkeling and scuba. They also fit easily in weight belt. John S., Natchez, MS

Rating: No Better Weights
Reviewer: Glenn A Meyer,
Hands down these weights are the best. The shot is small, the pouches are well made, never had one break in 5 years.,and fit in your BC with ease.I could never go back to a weight belt.Well worth your money.

These weight bags fit into my BCD allot better than the solid weights. It made it more comfortable around my middle where my weights are carried, because these weight seemed to conform to my body. There were no ridis sides digging into me.

I love the fact that these weights are labeled with the size permanently and in different colors.

Already use other sizes of these weights and they are great. Quality built and after many dives still like new.
I weigh 270 lbs and plan to free dive. I am wondering how much weight I can use to keep myself at the bottom while diving and metal detecting I have a air supply that will allow me to stay under without air tanks.

It depends on what wetsuit, if any, you plan to wear. 7mm in the ocean is typically 10% of your weight. 3mm about 5%. This is an estimate and will give a place to start.
Chris:
What metal is used?
Does it rust? How quickly? Before I might think about replacement (staining clothes, bags, etc)?
Can these be used in swimming pool too? How can I keep the metal from rusting too quickly?

Hello Chris, these are made out of lead shot. So they will not rust.
