I bought this belt to replace one with a plastic buckle. The buckle on this belt is a bit hard to clamp shut, but once it is it is incredibly secure. When released, the webbing slides easily through the buckle so if I ever need to dump my weight, I am confident there will be no problems.

If you need a no-frills belt with steel buckle and its still on sale, this would make a good purchase. I bought 5 for the whole family. Heavy-duty webbing material.

I have integrated BCD, BUT I snorkel and free dive, so I need a belt. This a great belt and a great price. I have paid a lot more for low quality, but this belt is HIGH QUALITY
