Rating: Faber 149: one great cylinder.

this is the cylinder to beat all cylinders. i have two of them (not twined) and i couldn’t be more pleased. perceived negatives: weight. not really an issue – they are only about 5 lbs heavier than a steel 120 or 130 length: not an issue either. i’m about 5’8” and have no problem at all with their size. for recreational divers that are not doing deco dives the size of these takes the “running low on air” worry out of standard dives (100+ min at 40 feet is easy). even if you are an air hog you will always finish a no-deco with air to spare. if you are a deco diver no problem (pony up to be on the safe side) but i can do 30+ min 130 fsw dive on air and still pop up on the boat with 1500 psi. if you don’t want to twin your tanks this is the best option i have seen. i would never go back.

I purchesed two of these tanks because I didt want to change all my gear over to a doubles set up but I wanted to get more dive time. Two things you should know about these tanks are 1 they are heavy but you do get to lose lead off your belt 2 you should be tall because these tanks are very long. All that aside I love my new tanks and the extra time they give me under the water.

What can I say this tank is great. I use this tank for LOBSTER dives, I have gone from catching 2-4 a night to 6-7. When you find a good spot the last thing you want is an empty tank. By the time you get out, change the tank get back in the water try and find that spot, hope they are still there, well I say this is the best tank i own for hunting. When I dive for fun I use my Faber 105
this weighs less......hope this helps..........

The Faber 149s are great for the air breathing dog I am. gives me a lot more bottom time. I ordered two last year and just ordered two more.
Just check availabilty before you pay the shipping. It took a lot longer them they say. Shipping I will give 1 star at best.
