My husband likes these boots, but found that they are just a bit thicker through the insole so his fins were harder to get on and off. Maybe well look into getting different fin straps, if they make them. He was happy with the boots, however.

Rating: Aqualock review
Reviewer: Jason G.
Simply amazing "locking" system. As much as the choice and fit of a wetsuit is a personal thing, the aqua-lock system delivers. Theres no slippage of gloves, boots or hood giving a snug and not slack feeling of security and comfort. Loads of sizing possibilities meant I was able to choose a wetsuit that fit me personally...oh, and 7mm - VERY warm! I dive at altitude and in glacial waters quite comfortably with Hendersons 7mm suit.

Rating: Great Boot
Reviewer: Don C.
Bought these boots in 7mm to go with my Aqua-Lock 7mm wetsuit. I love these boots. They work well with the Aqua-Lock system and feel great. My feet remained very warm. Well constructed. Soles are sturdy. Make sure you get the boot a full size LARGER, as they do run small. I recommend these boots!

I was having trouble finding boots that fit comfortably because I am an 11W shoe. I spoke to the guys at scuba.com and they recommended that I take a size 12. Its a very comfortable perfect fit. They are very warm and easy to put on or take off.

Rating: Study but runs tight
Reviewer: Shamarcus G.
I havent used them in the water yet, but they seem nice and study. They run tight to size, so you may want to go one size up. They may stretch once wet and one may not notice the snug fit.

Rating: Aqua Lock Boots
Reviewer: Patrick Rugloski  -  View all my reviews
These boots looked nice, but I never used them as they run a full size too small. Other brand boots we ordered for the kids at 14 were a size 14. The aqua locks are not.

Questions and Answers for Henderson 7mm Aqua Lock Hyperstretch Dive Boots:

  • Jason:

I am a commercial diver and want to know if I buy a 10 or 11 size boot will it fit in a high end fin? Ive bought plenty that havent and plenty of boots that dont fit to size. My agreement with sponsors runs out soon and I am looking at new gear.

Kevin  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

These boots run true to size, and is designed to be worn with fins. It may be necessary to use a larger fin size when using heavy duty soled boots.

  • Geoffrey:

I bought a Henderson 5 Mm wetsuit from Scuba.com a couple of years ago. It has the 4 way stretch fabric. I went to put on the boots and they just separated at one of the seams. Is this under warranty from Scuba.com? Can I send them back to Scuba.com for a replacement?

Bob  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

The warranty is a manufactures warranty. You can contact Henderson directly for the repair/replacement.

  • Jessica:

Im just renewing my interest in outdoor water sports and Im looking to get a pair of boots. I have 2 trips in semi-warm water coming up snorkeling in the Galapagos and Colombia, a scuba trip off of San Diego, and in my home base of San Francisco I plan to kitesurf. The coldest of conditions (SD) recommends 7mm wetsuit (and booties). Can I get away with 7mm on my snorkeling vacations and while kitesurfing? Or will I need a second pair of lighter booties for the other activities.

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Jessica, yes wearing 7mm boot in warm water will be fine. You will not over heat in 7mm boots. Then when your in the cooler water temps it will keep your feet warm.

  • Jack:

Hi, What is the best size for these boots if your normal European shoe size is 41? Thank you, J

Bob  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Charts we''ve found online equate a European 41 to a US 8.5 The manufacturers recommend going UP to the next nearest full size as dive boots are not made in half sizes. That being said, the 9 would be the correct size.
