while i dont currently have a full opinion of the ocean reef neptune space g.divers full face maskim still using a far greater amount of air as compared to a regular regulator and face mask, i very happy with the savings that buying "demo" provided. i noticed no wear on the masks and all of the extras came with the masks. (lph, warranty, carrying bag, etc.)

This is a great mask with a lot of adjustments for comfort and ease of use. Found the You Tube video demos were a great help in making all the nose adjustments for comfort as I have a long big nose. Now the mask works great and I can equalize without even touching the mask. I love to yell at my buddies and they can hear me - that is pretty fun. It does scare the fish though if you are taking pictures. This is a whole better way to dive. I am so glad I took the step even though its pricey I love my FFM Harry Eeuwes CAN

This is a great mask! The low profile provides a very low impact on positive buoyance. I have used more expensive full-face masks in the past and this one out performs them. No complaints...

Questions and Answers for Ocean Reef Neptune Space G.divers Full Face Mask:

  • Mauricio:

Could I use my first stage regulator (Cressi)?

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Mauricio, this mask already comes installed with the 2nd stage regulator. As for your 1st stage yes you can use that with this. If you want to install your own regulator in the mask you would need to order the Ocean Reef Neptune II Full Face Scuba Dive Mask Only web link: http://www.scuba.com/scuba-gear-124/027360/Ocean-Reef-Neptune-II-Full-Face-Scuba-Mask-Only.html. If you would like to place an order or have any other questions please feel free to give us a call at 1.800.347.2822.

  • Jordi:

Hi, What is the difference between Ocean Reef Neptune Space G.divers Full Face Scuba Dive Mask and the Reef Neptune Space Full Face Scuba Dive Mask with 2nd Stage? In the web, they show different prices. thanks jordi

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Jordi, the Space G. is there 2012 version of there full face mask. The Neptune Space is there older model. Also the Space G comes in different colors. Also the Space G was designed to work around the regulator where the Neptune was designed for the add-on's with the mask. If you have any other questions or would like to place an order please feel free to give us a call at 1.800.347.2822.

  • lance:

I have always cleared my ears by pinching my nose and have used EXO full face masks in the past. For some reason pushing the aga nose cone into my nose I cant clear. Can you recommend any masks that would allow me to pinch my nose or any techniques that would help clearing w the aga? -Thanks

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Lance, you would need to adjust the nose pieces so you can push down on the nose piece to clear. When it comes to full face masks. You are not able to clear your nose by pinching your nose you would have to adjust the built in part that comes with the mask.

  • jeff:

just wondering if the space or space g will work with air tanks or supplied air only thanks

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Jeff, if you have the correct connection to the mask you can run this on either a tank or threw surface supplied air. If you would like to place an order or have any other questions please feel free to give us a call at 1.800.347.2822.

  • Chris:

Im confused. Why is the First Stage regulator called an upgrade? Do you need to buy this to be able to hook this mask up to a hose from a tank, or is there a regulator built into the mask?

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Chris, the Mask and 2nd stage (regulator mounted into) mask is all one item. If you need a 1 stage (the item you mount to the tank directly) is a seperate item. They reason they do this is because you can use your 1st stage if you have one instead of the 1st they sell. They can be mixed and matched to any 1st stage. If you have any other questions please feel free to give us a call at 1.800.347.2822.

  • gilou:

hi does the second stage have a diver adjustable airflow and does it come with a hose . how much time would it take to ship to lebanon

Greg  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Yes, the second stage regulator on the Ocean Reef mask is adjustable and it comes with a second stage hose that can be attached to the SCUBA divers first stage regulator. Typical international delivery dates are 1 – 2 weeks. Expedited shipping is available.

  • coeltin:

can it be used with nitrox up to 40%, or what is its limits? also can I get the mask without 2nd stage?

Bill  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

This mask is rated up to 40% nitrox. It is not recommended to order the mask without the second stage as it is difficult to tune a regulator for the full face mask.

  • Joe:

I have never used a full mask before and was wondering if the plastic above to regulator is soft so you can clear your ears, if not how do you go about clearing them. Also when connecting the mask to the 1st stage does it use a quick connect or does it separate from the rest of the octopus because Im not sure my dive bag would have enough room to fit the mask and octopus together. Last question is some times when I dive I use a flashlight that attaches to my goggles would I be able to attach that to the mask without the flashlight being slanted away from where Im looking or would it fit straight ahead like on my goggles?

Bill  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

It will probably be easier for you to go to Oceanreef's site. They have instructional videos that show how the mask works. http://www.oceanreefgroup.com/ The mask replaces the primary second stage on your regulator hose, so the octo you are using does not change. Clearing is done by pressing the mask against your face so 2 soft plugs in the mask can block your nose to clear.

  • Nick:

Product information states newly redesigned. Is this model different from the 2012, if so how?

Bill  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Not new for 2013, but is the new "G Diver" series which is designed for recreational diving.

  • Fabio:

Hi, What is included in this mask? It includes the regulator and hoses, or only the mask?

Bob  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Ocean Reef masks are built around their 2nd stage. It'll be the mask/2nd stage and the regulator hose. It does not come with the 1st stage, swivel connection or Surface Air Valve.

  • Ashraf:

Hello, Actually I have two questions.. the first is why your price is way cheaper than amazon.com while both of you sell the same mask with the same specifications and actually Scuba.com is the source supplier to Amazon for this kind of mask? My second question is: Do you ship to Jordan and if yes, how long does it take to delivery? If you dont ship to Jordan then how long does take to ship to a USA address?

Bill  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Pricing can change every day. As long as you can add the item to shopping cart and it shows that price at checkout, that will be the price and will come with a full warranty. You can place the order on the website. Using Amazon Checkout is the easiest way to process international orders. The shipping charge will be listed when you proceed to checkout and prior to submitting the order. Order are typically delivered within 2 weeks from the day it processes.

  • brian:

hi i have just purchased a Neptune space , i cannot stop it from free flowing, do you know what i can try to stop this

Arthur  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello, have you cranked back the flow adjustment. I have noticed with mine that it always free flows when I''m upside down.

  • brian:

hi it is continually in free flow , i have dialed back the air but with no result, just constant air flowing through the mask

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Brian, it could be that the intermediate pressure if off. You can take this to your local shop to have them check this and adjust it if needed.

  • Julie:

I have a facial deformity and have had a terrible time finding a mask that does not leak on the left side of my face or is so snug, I end up with a blister on the bridge of my nose. Would a full face work and fit better?

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Julie, Yes it would be a better fitting mask for you and should not have the blister issue on the bridge of the nose.

  • Charles:

Hi I have have a pair of scuba goggles and I find them very uncomfortable to wear I seem to not always get the right tightness to fit and the other issue with the goggles is they are not torn anywhere but if I have them not tight enough water will go inside them and I have issues with purging the water out I feel sufication when I do purge the and if I have the goggles tight it starts to cause discomfort and I was wondering is the full face mask more comfortable then the goggles and I live in Canada and I was wondering would I have to pay in american or Canadian money and if I do get the Ocean Reefs Neptune Space G divers Full Face Mask how Long would it take to get to St Thomas Ontario Canada and would you guys accept Money order and I could give you guys my info for the payment and does the mask come with instructions on how to set it up or is it already set up and I would have to set it to my fitting for my face because I am going for my Recreational divers certification and I want a mask that is comfortable and later on down the road I want to be able to talk to other divers but all I would like is to be comfortable without a problem and my snorkel gets in the way and that is the other reason I was asking about the Full face Mask

Bill  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

You can place the order on the website. Using Amazon Checkout is the easiest way to process international orders. • Joshua:

What size is the LP hose connection? will standard LP hose work?

Bill  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hoses are standard length. Any standard 2nd stage hose will fit the mask.

  • Adam:

Hello! My dad had a really bad experience scuba diving a few years ago and now he has panic attacks while diving. he said it he would be fine if he could breathe through his nose and mouth. is this the mask for him? Thanks!

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Adam, yes if he is looking for a mask that he can breath thru his nose. Any full face mask will let you do that.

  • Ken:

I am interested in a full face mask (FFM) the Ocean Reef G. But would rather use my scubapro 1st and 2nd.. is that possible? Also I have a Air II, so how would that change things?

Bob  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Unfortunately no. The Ocean Reef masks are proprietary to and built around the Ocean Reef 2nd Stage. The use of the Air II becomes more tricky, although not unlike using any other octo. It doesn't incorporate into the mask so in a regulator failure that would cause you to use your alternate air source, you'll be removing your mask to breath from the Air II. In the case of a buddy needing your octo in an Out of Air Emergency, they'll either have to be happy being VERY close to you, breathing from the Air II while you attempt to use your inflation functions OR (my recommendation) add a standard octo to your set up when using the FFM.

  • Scott:

Does this mask come with the surface air vlave?

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Scott, no the surface air valve is an add-on option.

  • Daniel:

Will the mask seal well enough if i use it with a lycra hood? As in the mask worn over the hood not under…

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Daniel, if the hood lies flat you will be fine. If there are any creases in the material that would make the mask not seal and leak water.

  • Kelly:

Hello! I am interested in the Ocean Reef Neptune Space G.divers Full Face Mask. I currently do not own any scuba equipment and am tired of renting used gear. What all would I need to purchase to use this mask with a rented BCD. I am looking to invest in everything but doing so little by little. Thanks!

Arthur  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello, you would just need the first stage.

  • Leslie:

Got a used instruction-missing Ocean Reef f-f mask for a friend. Model cco475 with Niro Neptune regulator. Curious what the side-set Open/close valve is (red/green letters)...and what the "thin bar" (red one side, green other) is for. Also: if missing one of the soft caps by persons nose need get one or both get taken off when diving and so not important. Thanks re any reply.

Bob  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

The valve you are asking about is called the Surface Air Valve. It allows the wearer to breath outside, ambient air on the surface as opposed to using the air from their cylinder.

  • david:

looking at Neptune ll mask no size just no. 033001 804003 the second no written in can u help

Bob  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

We are unsure from your post what your question is. Please forward it to info@scuba.com

  • Andrew:

On the Neptune. Scuba pro full face mask 1) do you need to buy a different 1st and 2nd stage 2) is there anything else you née d to buy above the $675 price ? Thanks for the answers.

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Andrew, this comes with the 2nd stage and 2nd stage hose built into the mask. You would need to attach this to a 1st stage to supply air. Other that that no you to not require anything else to use this mask.

  • Mary:

I attempted scuba diving once but was unable to make it past the pool practice due to panicking from being unable to breathe through my nose as well as my mouth. This looks like a solution to my problem, but would it be a waste of money to buy this mask and only use it with rented gear from resorts we visit on vacation and would the mask be compatible with the standard gear provided?

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Mary, yes this would connect to any 1st stage regulator set-up. Any dive shop will be able to attach this unit to the gear you are renting. This unit does take a special class above the standard open water class. So I would contact your local dive center and see if they also teach this.

The OCEAN REEF Neptune Series provides a revolutionary take on the full face mask. They offer great visual fields, superior comfort, reliability, exceptional safety, durability, and they are easy to use! Whether you are a recreational, professional, or commercial diver, or just getting started in SCUBA, the OCEAN REEF Neptune Space series has a mask for you!

The Neptune Space G.divers with GSM G.divers Communication Unit includes everything you need to dive and speak with your buddy underwater.

Neptune Space G.divers Integrated Dive Mask (OR02501X):
The Neptune Space G.divers mask is available in two sizes and four colors (white, emerald, cobalt and pink) and includes an integrated, balanced 2nd stage regulator with a low-pressure hose. Designed for recreational diving, guiding and teaching, this high performance mask is ideal for both those looking to try full face mask diving for the first time as well as experienced divers looking for an exceptional value.

Ocean Reef’s pneumatically balanced, integrated second stage regulator provides consistent ease of breath at any tank pressure. The inhalation adjustment knob allows divers to control their air delivery. The Neptune Space G.divers mask can also be equipped with an optional Surface Air Valve (SAV) that will allow divers to breathe ambient air while at the surface.

The patented bellows style face skirt, molded from premium grade silicone rubber, uses a ‘spring profile’ and large sealing surface to achieve a very comfortable fit and ample support. This spring effect is a combination of the double “S” section and the inner support ribs which allows the G.divers mask to ‘float’ comfortably on the face. The head strap is directly attached to the face shield, allowing pressure to be distributed equally along the mask skirt. The six straps of the head harness hold the mask in a firm position due to their low elasticity. The tip of each rubber strap is wide, making them easy to grasp while wearing gloves. The fast rotating buckle allows the mask to be donned and removed quickly, simply pull the quick release tabs on the bottom of the mask to remove. The unique face seal and strap concepts are Ocean Reef patents.

The streamlined visor, made of transparent polycarbonate and treated with a scratch resistant resin, is designed to be wider and sit closer to the face than previous full face masks, maximizing the visual field, especially in the peripheral area. The visible light transfer of the visor is 92%. These factors give divers and astonishingly clear view of the underwater world.

The Neptune Space G.divers air circulation system is one of a kind and is designed to eliminate fogging and reduce the amount of CO and CO2 buildup. The silicone orinasal pocket is built with two one-way valves through which air is inhaled. Exhaled air is directed through a valve under the orinasal pocket and out of the mask. This limits the mixing of used air with the fresh air coming in from the regulator.

Water that may seep into the mask is quickly eliminated through exhalation or pushing the purge valve button in the second stage. Mask squeeze cannot occur with the G.divers mask because the pressure inside the mask is always being equalized to the pressure outside.

Ear equalization is a breeze with the Neptune Space G.divers patented 3-D equalization system. The system consists of a moveable plate and 2 eccentric blocks, which may be moved up or down and in or out to adapt to a variety of nose shapes. Included are three pairs of extensions, allowing the distance between the blocks and the nose to be modified. Simply adjust the silicone blocks to sit right under the nose, then push back on the mask to block the nostrils on descent and equalize the ears.

The Ocean Reef G.divers mask can be outfitted with a variety of optional accessories. The Surface Air Valve (OR025020) saves tank air while at the surface. An optical lens support (33299) allows for vision correction. Visor lights (OR024502) can provide hands free illumination. An Extraflex Quick Connect hose (OR024998) allows you to easily remove the mask from the 1st stage regulator set up, and a swivel (33033) can provide freer movement. Also available is a high performance 1st stage with a balance diaphragm and anti-freeze kit (YOKE 9922/DIN 9923).
