I purchased these 3MM zipper with hard sole boots for my daughter who is a marine scientist. She needed boots that were comfortable but supportive so she could use them for diving and as she walks along the shore when collecting. She just used them for 10 days in the Bahamas. They were perfect...great for diving and great support while walking along the shore and in the marsh area. The zipper was easy to use and allowed for ease in putting on and taking off. The 3MM kept her feet very warm and sizing was true to size. She and her husband love them. ( he got them too)They provided extra support for her somewhat flat feet.

My new Henderson Gold Core 3MM dive boots were a little disappointing. I have always and ONLY used Gold Core boots throughout my diving career. These new boots had a defect. The inner sole of the left boot was slightly mis-aligned when the boots were made, so when out of the water and walking, there is pressure felt from the seam where the inner sole is attached to the boot side. It is only noticable while walking out of the water, while diving, there is no discomfort, and the boots live up to the Gold Core reputation.

Like the suit, the boots are easy to get on and off. Very comfortable. They dry quickly which is a big plus when doing multiple dives. Becasue of the hard sole getting in and out of fins is still a bit combersome but the hard soles are great when entering from the shore in a rocky area or even exploring between dives.

Overall quality of construction appears to be very good. The zipper keeper and front tendon protector are a nice features. Fit is good. The "hard" sole is not as robust as that found on the Handerson Titanium Hyperstrech boots. The tale will be told on my next trip to Bonaire!

I do a lot of shallow water metal detecting. These boots are wonderful for taking the brunt of the rocky lake and sea bottoms that can hurt my feet in some areas. Also, the zippers are strong and big and easy to open and close. I love them!

Great for walking over rocks and gravel to get to isolated dive spots or out in the water past reefs that would tear up normal scuba shoes. Relieves time and energy from bringing additional water shoes.

The heavy duty sole allows you to walk on rocks with no problems. If you stub your toe on a rock there is no protection in front though, and it can be a bit rough on your big toe.
