I am girl approx 58 and 127-130 lbs. and I am considering diving off the coast of Maine near Acadia National Park-during the summer time-what type of wet suit should I get? When I went diving in more temperate-tropical dive sites such as Costa Rica in December, I was extremely cold with a wetsuit-I have issues regulating my body temperature when I am on land and dry...
Hello, yes this suit would be in the line of suits you will want to dive in the water temp. When you are sizing a suit the two most important measurements are going to be your chest/bust and waist. Height is going to be a secondary measurements and weight is the last measurements you take into account.
I recently purchase the Mares 6.5 mil, which is a great suit, but under the recommendation by scuba.com, because of my measurements they recommended me XXXLarge. After I dove with it once ( I had left my back up suit at the house), I noticed that it was loose in the hips, chest and back area. What is scuba.coms return policy on suits that have been worn? Thank You!
Hello Bill, here is the link and paperwork to return an item: http://www.scuba.com/ads/shipping.asp#return.
The Hollis Neotek appears to be a replacement for the SD7 semi-dry, which advertised double blind-stitch seams. The Neotek, on the otherhand, is advertised as having double glued blind-stitch construction seams. Nowhere is the Neotek advertised as having double blind-stitch seams. Can you tell me whether or not the Hollis Neotek semi-dry wetsuit has double blind-stitch seams?
Good morning, here are the spec's from the hollis website. And yes they have the blind stich. •8/7/6mm mix of compression resistant and superstretch neoprene •Exclusive "ThermaSkin" inner liner •G-lock horizontal front zipper with internal bib •Neck, Wrist and Ankle internal dams •Seams are quadruple glued and butt joined with a blindstitch •Liquid glued seams cover entire suit •Technically friendly thigh pockets on both left and right thigh for storage of accessories •Attached hood standard
Hello, This wetsuit really looks like great. Can anyone commit on how well it might work off the coast of Southern California, i.e. Channel Islands, wrecks off San Diego, warmth, stretch, fit, "fun underwater", summer, winter, etc? Would someone who has dove with it choose it over an Oneil? Thank You, God Bless, Bob F.
Hello, I am 5 6 tall, waist is 34 and weigh 190 pounds. Im interested in the Holis wetsuit. I have an Akona that is a large and a Pinnacle that is LS. What size would you recommend? Also, Can you tell me about the 8/7/6 mm distribution? I was originally looking for a 7mm. Thanks, Julio
Hi guys!!!! Hello Rafael, when you are sizing a wetsuit or dive skin. The two most important measurements are going to be your chest/bust and waist. Height is a secondary measurement and weight is the last measurement you take into account. Also this is an excellent suit for the style suit it is. i have 2 semi dry suit questions. first, what is the best suit? there are deep water lakes here in wyoming that are 50 degrees at 30 ft depth, the warmest time of year...and they go 400-600+ feet. i would rather stick with semi dry rather than a fully dry suit. i currently wear a tilos 7 mil, xls. problem number 2i am 54" with a body weight around 215. im a pro powerlifter with a 46-48" chest 34 inch waist and 19" arms. any advise would be greatly appreciated. thanks!
Hello John, the semi-dry suit I would suggest for you by your measurements would be the 2XLS in: http://www.scuba.com/scuba-gear-101/253063/Bare-8-7mm-Velocity-Super-Stretch-Semi-Dry-Hooded-Chest-Zip-Wetsuit.html.
Hi, Do you have any of these in stock right now? I am wishing to order a size ML. If none in stock then when do you think they will be back in stock? Thanks Tim
