Rating: A wetsuit made by divers for divers
Reviewer: richard h.
This is my 4th suit that I own by Waterproof. I am an Assistant Instructor which simply means I spend a lot of time in the water and my suits get abused. These things are awesome. I currently have a 7mm, 5mm and a shorty. This newest one I bought just because it was a great deal and one day I will need to put it into action. I dive Monterey and am more than comfortable all day long in this 7mm. After my first purchase a year and a half ago I have not pulled out my custom made suit once and probably never will. Worth every penny.

Rating: Great Suit
Reviewer: Charles H.
This is not only a very warm suit, the added zippers on neck and sleeve make donning and doffing of this suit one of if not the easiest, but theres no such thing as an easy 7mm. Going to order a 5mm when water warms up a bit. Best suit for the money out there! You will not be disappointed!!!

Rating: Wetsuit has it all
Reviewer: Michael Russo  -  View all my reviews
Waterproof has thought of all the features to make this wetsuit a real pleasure to don and doff. Every little detail has been thought out. The zippers on sleeves and wrists are great in make it easy to use. The zippered neck is great for comfort while waiting between dives. This is a real sharp looking suit. No problem with keeping warm even in the coldest waters... no need for a dry suit. The size chart was right on.Fits like a glove. Will invest in a 3mm for warm water dives.

Questions and Answers for Waterproof 7mm W2 Wetsuit:

  • Mike:

Bob  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Typically orders are on your doorstep no later than 2 weeks from the date of order. For more detailed information on inventory or potential delivery please contact our instructors at 800-34SCUBA or info@scuba.com

  • Micha:

Hi I am 6 tall shirt size XL wast 34or36 what size of wet suit should I buy. Also I am going to be in water 35to50 degrees in Alaska what type of suit should I get

Bill  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

The waist and chest are the most important measurements for the fit with a wetsuit. Height usually will work even if it is one to two inches short or tall. Weight will depend on the divers body build and is the last measurement to consider. Should work for that temperature when using a 7mm hood or even better a hood vest.

  • adriana:

    what is this made of?

Bill  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

    Neoprene material.

  • Diane:

Does this suit provide enough flexibility for a surfer?

Arthur  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello, 7mm suits are not generally used in surfing. Surfers usually use a 3mm or a 4/3mm for the reason of flexibility. Surfing requires a lot of energy which means your going generate a lot of heat meaning you won't need a very thick suit.

  • Bob:

Im trying to decide between this suit and the Scubapro 7/5mm Everflex Steamer. Im a divemaster so I spend a lot of time in the water. The water temp is typically between 54 and 62 degrees and warmth is the most important consideration.

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Bob, the waterproof suit will be a warmer suit but the ScubaPro suit will give you better movement.

  • Lauren:

At the store I went to they only had Medium Tall in 5mm and a Small in 2.5. The Medium tall was too big in the chest by the armpits and a little under my butt/on the back of my thighs. Waist fit well. The knee pads were too low for my knees. For the 2.5 small it fit well maybe a bit too lose on the bottom ankles and the zipper i had to have my friend help me close the top half but i could move and assuming it will be a bit more flexible in the water and easier to zip after some use. So I think small is the size for me. I am 5 6¨ and weigh 125-130 lbs. The issue is that I want to buy a 7mm but havent had the opportunity to try on a waterproof with the hard knee pad yet to see where they fit. I live in Mexico and family is visiting so returns are hard and I need it for work so I need to get the sizing right! Do you think I will be ok buying a small 7mm if a small 2.5 fits me well?

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Lauren, When you are sizing a wet suit or dive skin the two most important measurements are your chest/bust and waist. Height is a secondary measurement and weight is the last measurement you would take into account. Since the 2.5mm and the 7mm are the same manufacture and if the version of the suit is the same the sizing would be the same. If it is a different version of a suit the sizing could be different.
