The pockets easily accommodate either solid weights or pellet bag weights. It can be a chore to re-adjust the position of the pockets, and especially the buckle, for a better fit. Hint, the pockets are easier to move than the buckle. But once everything is adjusted properly, it is a nice comfortable weight belt.

I really enjoyed this belt. Since most newer BCs are weight integrated it was nice to find a belt that is both very comfortable and reliable. The weights easily slide into the pockets, even five pounders! The belt easily adjust to your desired size.

I am a freediving spearfisherman from Utah, and I love this belt. We spearfish in Utahs fresh water which is generally cold, but in the summer months, it is warm enough to switch from our 7mm wet suits to our 2mm shorties. Its nice to have a belt that is durable enough to hold the heavy weight and then we can easily lighten the weight when we switch suits.

pros: it is extremely easy to change the weights out. also very easy to redistribute the weight. takes hard or soft weights. the individual velcro pouches are far easier to use than zippered belts. the velcro securely hold the weights. the 6-pouch belt is versatile enough to use with my 5 mil or 2 mil wetsuits.
con: a little bulkynot as streamlined as zippered belts. bulk is the trade-off for ease of use. the only time the bulk bothers me is when i put my bc on while in the water because it sometimes catches on the bc, but with experienece this is becoming much easier. once the bc is on, i forget about the weight belt. i have a ladies bc that rides above the belt, so bulk isnt a problem there.

Most weight belts barely fit the five pound soft weights. The large pockets on this belt hold the five pound weights with no problem. Its also so comfortable that I wear it without my wetsuit in summer months.

I bought the 6-pocket version. The pockets were big enough to hold 5lbs of shot each, in a baggie and cordora pouch no less. Comfortable and easy to get on/off. The yellow coloer is a great feature.

This weight belt was obviously designed with a lot of diver input. On the zippered weight belts, once the zipper dies, it becomes useless. The gusseted pockets for EACH weight have large flaps that securely close with Velcro so that you can safely dive in a head down posture where applicable without worrying about your weights sliding out of the pockets. The instructor for whom this belt was bought has been diving since the 80s and appreciated the arrangement of the pockets around the divers sides, so they would not be slipping under your tank. The pockets are held away from the center back with adjustable metal stays on the belt.

Ordered the 6 pocket belt and was nicely balanced and comfortable. I used the lead shot "bean bags" and couldnt even tell they were there once in the water. I worried about the velcro closures on the pockets not being enough, but so far no problems.

The 6 pocket weight belt, black, and added a depth compensating buckle (which is a must. this will make your belt more pleasing to wear since it will have some flex in the waist line). This belt is soooo comfortable, you can almost forget youre wearing it.. and I had 24 pounds in it. The weights stay out of the way, right where you want them and I like the idea of each weight having its own pouch. Ive read the other reviews and I didnt have any trouble getting the weights where I wanted them. Just bring the keepers in tight to the nylon sleeves and youre set. I gave this 5 stars because the item is durable, comfortable, and does what its supposed to do.

I bought this for use when travelling with out weights. Excellent for this use. Makes weight use and return a breeze. Still like a more secure system for holding the weights if I am using my own weights. You could lose a weight if you handle the belt incorrectly.

The belt is okay, but the pockets are just a little too small for 5 lb weights. It is a fight to get the 5 lb weight in and out of the pocket and get the lid closed over the wight.
Also, the buckle is very tight as far as sliding the strap in. The plastic should be just a tiny bit bigger for that size webbing.

Very good solution for weighting. The pockets adjust along your waist/back to wherever you want them for trim. The pockets hold either soft or hard weights. You can travel with this belt without weights and just borrow weights at your destination. Easy to add or subtract weight quickly, no threading-the-belt hassles. My wife and I both use it.

The belt is very comfortable, and you can sling it across your back during gear rearranging, and also not worry about a hard edge nicking your car or other gear. I also like the yellow option. However, it is not very easy (while in the water) to adjust weight in the pockets if you have 4 pounds in them (5 pounds fits in each pocket, but definitely has to be adjusted w/ non-gloved hands). I got around this using an extra Quick Release Single Weight Pocket, so I dont have to overstuff every one of the pockets. If the standard pockets were a bit larger (6 or even 7 pound capacity - not for adding that much weight but for easier weight adjustment), this would easily be a 5 star.

I use this belt and highly recomend it to others. It is so comefortable, i never feel it while im under the water.Im a gold dredger, and sometimes have to wear 60 to 80 lbs to stay down in the fast river water. So alot of the time im wearing two belts. This belt stays in the position that you put it without slideing around or slipping down. It is vary easy to adjust the weight by adding or takeing out your lead with the velcrow pouches.Ive been useing the same belt for 3 yrs, laying, rubbing, and slideing on rocks with only slight wear showing. the xs scuba weight belt is a nice accessory. velcro pockets
allow you to easily make fast weight adjustments, belt is adjustable enough to go between a wetsuit and a dry suit use. material used to make the belt is sturdyive been thru two
belts recently, one literally disintegrating little by little after each use!
only drawback is if using soft lead pouches, they hold a max of 5 lb. pouch, and even thats a little tight to get into the
velcro pockets. probably better to used hard weights.
nice product overall!

Belt is comfortable and secure, especially for my wife who is slender and finds other weight belts uncomfortable. Perhaps only because new and stiff, but the front latching mechanism is a little troublesome, but all in all we are very satisfied with out purchase.

I wore this belt with 20 pounds of weight and I didnt notice that I had anything on. I had experienced a similar belt in scuba class that always slipped down, no matter how tightly I cinched it down. Got my wife one also, and she is happy with the fit and feel. Good product.

I like this belt because it has deep pockets, which can hold your 5 lbs easily, and has stops between weight pockets so that they dont move all over the place.
Its lightweight and sturdy.

I did not enjoy the XS weight belt because it was stiff and hard to adjust. It gave little space to move the pockets for a comfortable fit. Otherwise the pockets and weights order were great....just the fit and stiffness of the web belt are downers.

Before diving, I put the weight belt on, and it seemed fine. However, once I got into the water, the belt would slide down to your knees. I had to get back into the boat as the straps which hold the belt are not easy to adjust. 15 min. went by before I was back in the water. I do suggest a supender for the belt if you have a lot of weight in the pockets. I do a lot of river diving, and I need xtra weight because of the current. I wish I had gone for the 4 pocket as appose to the 6. Great belt otherwise.

used this belt on 15 dives in bonaire found it to be very comfortable and easy to adjust.
i ran it through washer and dryer before using as it starts out being very stiff and inflexable it does become more flexable as you use it.

I recently ordered the cordura wht. belt for my daughter to help in the correction of her scoliosis. She has to walk with it on to help rebalance her pelvis. This belt is by far, the most comfotable belt we have found to date.
I would imagine it would be even better underwater.

Great belt. I used it in OW classes, then retired it as I bought an intergrated weight BC. Friend borrowed it that wears a 48" waist and it fit fine. I wear a 38" waist and it worked equally well. Made great. Buckle is secure, but easy to remove for weight removal in class. Pockets easily hold my 4lb soft weights without issue. Velcro closing the pockets is strong. Belt will be stiff for first few dives, then get better. No worries with this product. If I knew I was going to buy an intergrated weight BC that soon, I could have bought just a belt and solid weights and saved some money. However, with he quality of this belt, resaling it will not be an issue. If you plan to use a belt long term, this one should hold up for years. Purchase with no worries.

This is a great weight belt. It is very comfortable and easy to use. The only thing you need to be careful of is that if you are using soft weights and they are too small(1 or 2 pounds) they can actually slip out of the pockets since they arent fully enclosed. I dont have XS scuba soft weights though, im sure if you use their products with the belt it would work perfectly.

Just got back from Yap/Palau, where I used belt for its second trip. The versatility of the pockets makes for quick changes of weighting. I already had a similar belt with a zipper, but the zipper kept getting sticky and worried me that it would someday not zip/unzip. I like this belt.

The belt is very comfortable. I was a tempted to buy the cheaper $15 belt, but figured I would have it a while and spent the extra money. Im glad I did. Its well constructed, easily adjusted, and comfortable. I used it for skin diving, so it sat on my bare skin and it didnt chafe me at all. I would suggest cutting it to size as there is a lot of extra strap left on it. Youll be swimming with a tail. I highly recommend this belt.

Webbing was a little stiff to begin with but with a little use it has become one of the most comfortable, Ive worn. I was diving with integrated weights but it made the BC too unwieldy. Add the DEPTH COMPENSATING BUCKLE and you have a very nice system

This weight belt is excellent. I prefer it to even more expensive belts. The fact that you can use both bean bag weights and solid weights is great. I prefer the solid weights but when you are in a bind ... Anyway, I first used this on a night dive of Catalina Island. Zero problems. Make sure you trim excess length from the belt.

This is my second weight belt. The first weight belt by another vendor was not durable and broke down from wear and weights. This weight belt appears to be constructed to carry multiple pounds of weight. If you have a small waistline order a weight belt with minimum amount of pockets. The more pockets, the longer the belt to accommodate pockets. I wish I had ordered one with fewer pockets. Although, I adjusted to fit my waist.

Great set up. Weights fit snuggly in pouches and the velcro flap holds them secure. Standard weight belt with plastic buckle and metal retainers to keep the pouches where you want them on the belt. The best feature is no digging into your hips. It is very comfortable and so easy to change weights when you need to.
