I had trouble getting this carrier attached tightly enough around the tank that it wouldnt slip lengthwise on the tank, causing an unbalanced condition.
Even re-cinching the straps didnt help much, they still loosened after carrying the tank a bit.
Probably attaching a velcro strip to the tank and another to the straps would help secure it from sliding, but I havent tried this.
Overall, Im not pleased with the performance of this product.

Very pleased with the quality of this item. Easily go on to the tanks. Very secure when carrying. Definately a good purchase if you have to carry tanks over a distnace, i.e. from the parking lot to the beach.
You do have to remove the carrier before diving, but its not a problem to slip on and off.
Great product.

it works and if I had to carry by hand my tanks for over a 1/4 mile they would be good. However difficulty putting carrier on and off for the short distance I take the tanks to my suit up point is not worth the bother.

The tank carriers from Scuba.com take the hassel out of hauling your tanks to a dive site or boat. They are extreamly helpful if you need to put them in the trunk of a car or have to hand them to some body on a boat. No more risk of a injury because the the tank valve rolled open during handeling. Just slide em on and tighten em up. The double D rings fit snug and adjust to any tank. I bought one for each tank I own.

These work great! They make carrying my tanks so much easier, and safer. Also, I am way less likely to pick them up by the neck like I am not supposed to. The only draw back is I have to take them on an off in between dives because they dont fit while on the bc.

The Scuba Tank Carrier was hands down one of my best purchases. It made carrying, transporting , and handling my 120ci tank a breeze! Easy to use, it has heavy-duty velcro straps that secure it to your tank, and a ergonomic rubber handle that makes gripping the strap comfortable and easy. Great holders for short distances. I used two

We love the tank carriers- plus, we believe it to be much better for the tanks to carry them this way, rather than putting all the weight on the valves. Since this is our life support down there, why put extra strain on the valves? And my husband and I agree that its no big deal to take them off and put them back on, as others have complained about. Just part of the process with the gear.
We are very pleased with our purchase, and the price was right from scuba.com

Much better than carrying the tanks by their valves. Product is very well made. I was worried they would be too lite and the tank would slip out but they are great quality and worked great. Once you find the center of balance it makes carrying the tanks much easier. I left them right on the tanks when we dove but they can be easily removed. I lay my tanks down in the truck so it made loading them also easier. Great product I would highly recommend it. Get one for each of you tanks.

works good once the nylon gets broke in. it was stiff at first and tended to be slippery on the tanks. Get it wet and leave it in the sun for a day or two to get the newness out of it and it will work good for you.

These inexpensive tank carriers made the task so much easier! At first we thought it needed to be tight on the tank but then figured out it didnt matter. Even the 11 year old and 15 year old thought they made it easier to carry those heavy tanks! They quickly learned that it was easiest if the carrier straps were put on so that the tank was evenly balanced. Might be easier to put them on if they were velcro but given the price, they were a perfect addition to our gear.

I like many others had a difficult time carrying my tanks by the k-valve, a few times even opening the valve and letting air out until I could close the valve again, this harness is a dream come true, I bought two so I could carry a tank with each hand, easily stored in my b c pocket to be used back to the car its a wonderful addition to my dive gear

Not only does this product give a more comfortable hand hold than the valve, but it keeps the tank higher off the ground so you dont have to lift the bottom over obstacles. Just make sure the straps are reasonably tight to that the tank doesnt slide if you tilt it.

Excellent item. I have had problems carrying my tank comfortably as I have bad knees. This handle helps to distribute the tank weight and makes carrying the tank easy. It is easy to slide on and off the tank if you dont make it too tight.

To carry your tank I use to just pick it up by the neck and hall it where ever it had to go this handle is the way to go Lots easer and I have halled this thing from Los Angeles to Thaland and the Philppines get for handing your set up to the guys on the boats just leave it hoked up to your BC and your set

This scuba tank carrier is one of the most innovated carriers I have seen on the market. I would like to shake the person’s hand that invented this product. It assists in carrying the tank and it relieves stress caused in the lifter’s back, hands, and shoulders when carrying air tanks the old fashioned way. This carrier is very durable, lightweight and easy to use when carrying the air tank to a filling station, vehicle, or even storage. The real secret or trick in using this carrier is to cinch down the straps as tight as you can before use! Once the carrier is on the air tank, leave it on the tank and position the carrier straps so they do not interfere with the BC back plate and tank strap(s). The two stainless steel friction D-rings make cinching to any size tank quick and easy. The formed rubber handle is comfortable and provides extra grip for those that have wet/dry hands. This carrier is cheaper than the ones in my local dive shop. The only “con” is the excess strap material after cinching the carrier to the air tank. I plan on modifying both of my carriers by adding Velcro to the excess strapping material. I have used this product for three months and have had no problems with these carriers. NOTE: Always ensure that the strapping is cinched securely to the air tank before lifting/carrying. I bought two of these for my wife and me. Awesome product!

This tank carrier works pretty good, though the large steel tanks seem to be a little heavy for its construction. It has a tendency to slip around the tank because it seems impossible to get the straps completely tight.

Excellent product. Great handle round with a slight contour. Straps easily adjust with double D-rings (same as motorcycle helmets) and have a rubber piece on the strap to stop the tank from slipping in the strap. Best of all, they have the SCUBA.COM printed on a rubber piece which is sewn onto the strap. Makes moving your tanks very easy.

This tank carrier is a life saver because you put it on and when your ready to dive it just slipes right off. i know your thinking that if it slipes off easy then it would slip off your tank when your carring it but it wont it has rubber grips on the bands that prevent it. i would recomend this to anyone who divers it is a real life saver.

The handle is very comfortable, and carrying the tank is easy once everything is set properly. Unfortunately, I found it more difficult to tighten the tank straps for a snug fit that didnt slip than with the velcro strap carier I had been using.

Nobody likes dragging tanks around by the valve.
You want to make life easy try these tank carriers,
they can be left on all the time even while diving.
The only tough thing about them is tightenong the straps, the straps seem to be very stiff and large for the buckle and are hard to get tight so they wont slide. Otherwise I WILL NEVER BE WITHOUT ONE..

Nice product. I like the handle, which conforms to your hand...unlike the solid handle models which do not. It makes carrying my Steel 100 MUCH easier than just by the valve. I think I would rather velcro fasteners as the buckles are hard to get really tight, especially with a tank protector on it. But, other than that, it is easy to take on and off, easy to store and makes carrying the tank an easy job.

I have limited storage space and my scuba gear seams to require moving everytime I look for something. thie carrier is great and saves my back abunch. It is also great for humping equipment to and from the vehicle to the dive staging area. really well built and easy to use.

I bought the scuba.com tank carrier and the first time I tried it I loved it. I am short which means I have to use both hands to carry a tank horzonally everyone else can grab the valve and go with it. It goes on easy and comes off easy to quickly grab another tank. I can carry a tank with one hand and something else in the other.
I bought several for Christmas gifts as they were on sale, now I am really glad I kept one for myself.

This item is great for transporting your tank to the shore. My finance and I dive in Crandon Wisconsin offten and always deal with a large hill to walk down and don are gear. This little simple outfit makes every dive that much more fun!!!!!

I bought this to aid in carrying my heavy tanks. This carrier is well made and fairly easy to install. The rigid strap material added difficulty in sliding it through the chrome double D rings but once cinched down feels very secure. The molded in handle is comfortable. The starps are way too long so I cut them down and remelted the ends.

do your hands hurt after carrying your tanks by the valves? the thick rubber handle of the tank carrier beats gripping tank valves any day! the scuba tank carrier makes carrying tanks as easy as picking up a suitcase. velcro straps mean the tank carrier is easy to adjust to any tank size and the tank is held securely. im short and i can easily carry a tank in each hand using the tank carrier the bottoms of the tanks dont bump on the ground like they did when i carried two tanks by the valves.

As a new diver I watched how others carried their tanks. I wasn’t able to lift my tank and carry it anywhere. I saw the tank carrier and decided why not give it a try. I used it last weekend and was so impressed at how easy it was to carry my tank. I would highly recommend it to anyone who doesn’t have the muscle power to carry his or her tank from the car the dive site.

I love the tank carrier branded by Scuba.com. Its adjustable straps keep a firm grip on tanks of all sizes. The handle is very comfortable and prevents hands from becomming sore from carrying a tank.
The whole system evenly balances a tanks weight and makes carrying a breeze.

Carrier does what it intends. I do like that it grips, but it doesnt scratch the paint. Makes tanks easy to carry, and can slide down whn it is time to put the BCD on.

we had the hard plastic carriers, but i never felt they had a good grip on the tank. they were more trouble than they were worth. on the other hand, these work great. at last, a carrier that creates LESS work. AND as long as it will be a long term partner to your tank, its nice that its not hideously ugly, right? they look good and make life a little easier.

This is a very handy item to have. It makes transporting your tanks much easier and less of a strain on your hands and shoulders. If you dont have at least one of these then you dont know what you are missing.

There is no point in buying this product unless you plan to dive with it on the tank and always are carrying your tank up and down long docks. The process of taking it off and putting it on takes way too long to justify its use

These straps are awesome! Easy to install, they make carrying two tanks at a time a breeze. No more valves slipping through your fingers, these straps provide a secure grip. East to transfer on and off a boat too!

The tank straps work great. They slip on easy and make it much more comfortable for lugging a couple of tanks at once. Rather that aching fingers from grabbing the valves and aching shoulders and arms trying to keep the tanks from banging on the ground, these straps make it simple and painless.
One thing that could be improved would be how the straps are installed. A quick clip would make them easier to get on and off.

The Scuba tank carrier is one of the most innovated tank straps available. Not only does it assist in carrying the tank but it relieves the stress and sometime pain aching task of gripping the valve to carry the tank to a filling station to be refilled while at the dive site. Or perhaps just loading it the vehicle. Some of the advantages to having one is that it can be left donned on your tank and if you stategically position the carrier it wont interfere with you BC straps. With the stainless steel d-rings it makes cinching down to any size tank quick and easy. The formes rubber handle will give comfort for those divers with weakened grips. As far as the price its very affordable for the web nylon type material. The only negative would be the excess strap available after cinching. Maybe the manufacturer could add velcro but tucking under the straps works just as well. It not only attracts alot of onlookers but gets my five stars.

This carrier is a great way to re-distribute the weight when carrying a tank. The handle is large enough to get a grip on without being bulky. The velcro straps are easy to adjust to any tank size and make it easy to put on and take off of a tank. When set up in the middle of the tank, the weight is balanced and the tank is much higher up off the ground. All around, an excellent way to carry your tank.
