This beanie was terrific for use when snokeling in 68-74 degree water near the equator. It kept our heads warm, protected our heads and neck from the sun, made it easier to spot each other in rough water and did not interfere with or cause leaks around our masks.

XS Scuba 2mm Titanium Beanie:

I am normally a size medium women but I purchased a size small XS Scuba 2mm Titanium Beanie: They seem to think that men and women can wear the same clothing. The Beanie seems to have a gap in the back but if you adjust it enough it can fit. It appeared like a jet black in the picture but when I received it the color was more gray black with white stripes. The chin strap was bulky. The price was right. I would send it back but the shipped is not worth it.

I had always been cold even while diving in the 80 degree water of the Caribbean. However, this little beanie was just the ticket. I didnt have that enclosed feeling that some hoods exhibit, but it did keep my head warm. I wouldnt think about diving without it, now.

I purchased 2 of these, one for me in XL and one for my wife in M, prior to a dive trip to Cozumel this month. I exchanged them both for 1 size smaller because at 2mm they stretch and I felt that the smaller sizes would be better, which they were. (have a big head, size 7 5/8. These beanies keep your head warm and also keep your hair out of the way of your mask skirt, a real benefit for the ladies when diving in warmer water.

The beanie was great to keep my hair in place and out of my goggle straps, and to provide warmth. Water was 78, but I could probably have used a 3 mm rather than a 2 mm, but 2 was much better than none!

I have been impressed with XS Scuba products and this beanie did not disappoint. I bought this beanie for my girlfriend due to her hair issues. The beanie is well made and sizing seems right with size chart. Girlfriend uses beanie for snorkelling only so can not really speak about warmth for scuba diving.

This beanie is great for tropcial diving if you have long hair that always gets in your face and under your mask skirt. 2mm is perfect to keep any slight chill off and is comfortable too. I purchased a size smaller than I thought I needed as according to the sizing chart and it fits like a glove!

This beanie was chosen after much discussion with others who struggle with full hoods. Although not recommended for extreme cold, I have use this in 65 degree water and stayed very warm with it. Highly recommended. Light, thin, warm.

I knew this beanie would be great when the Bonaire Dive Master put his on! It is very comfortable and doesnt ride up on your ears like normal swim caps. The medium size was just right for a woman. It was thin enough to not require adjusting the mask strap- All in all a keeper. Thanks

The XS Scuba 2mm Titanium Beanie was a good choice. The reasons for this buy were to obtain warmth and comfort while diving. The size was perfect and the use was correct. While diving, whether in a thermaclyne or in freshwater springs, it does get cold. Being that you loose most of your body heat through your head, besides your torso, this helped keep your warmth and did not effect the dive in a negative way. I would recommend the Scuba Beanie as an added item to your dive gear, even with a hood attachement to a vest. The beanie is a good choice for gear.

This beanie is great E-Z on and off.Im bald and I wanted some protection from the chills of prolonged bottom time. Used it for my check-out dive in Vortex Springs,Fl. and Panama City Beach, didnt get a chill at all!

I have purchased at least four of these beanies, and given them to several other family member divers. I use it almost every dive. Its light, warm, easy to put on and off as the old story goes dont leave home -on a dive- without it. I prefer it to a hood, unless the water is rather cold.
I suggest it come in other colors (other than basic black) and it could be more popular as a diver I would be more visible underwater.
