Zoom Gear - just what i needed to be able to fully utilize the lens. without this gear i was limited to specific shots at specifice distances. experience a little difficulty initially getting the gear to engage in the housing. problem was the flash wire in the housing getting in the way when ing the camera - that could be re-designed! otherwise zoom gear is thumbs up.

Sea & Sea DX-1200HD/DX-860 Wide Angle Lens- AWESOME!! - As a snorkler with a newly found interest in underwater photography, I wanted an underwater camera/lens that would provide me the tools at a higher level than "throw-away cameras, yet not at the more sophisticated level of more professional camera/lenses. I purchased this camera and these great wide angle lens based on several online reviews. I have been somewhat skeptical of these type reviews but went ahead trusting them. I am so happy I trusted the reviews. I just returned from Bora Bora and snorkled quite a bit. The lens was a cinch to attach, water tight and very sturdy feeling without being overly heavy.

Good but need to be very careful - the sync cord works fine but there is one issue with it. you need to be very careful in hooking it up. it is not easy to make sure it is properly ed in the slots before tightening the locknut down.

This lens is a must have - If you have the Sea and Sea DX-1G camera outfit, you need this lens. It makes all the difference in the world. As with any wide angle lens, you know you get a better field of view in your photograph, this is a plus when shooting big objects, and for things you want to show more of in your photo. Im glad I took the plunge, and got this lens, and Im also glad I bought it from a great place like scuba.com

Extra/Replacement Batteries - I lost or misplaced my original battery and am very happy with the speedy delivery of the replacement and spare. (I ordered two.) I have yet to use the camera since I got the batteries, but did charge them up and try them out. I expect they will work as good as the original.
