Getting Great Shots with my new DX-1200 HD - i decided to upgrade my camera before my cozumel trip back in may. i did some research and from what i read and what i had budgeted, i decided on the sea & sea 1200 hd islander package. it came with (almost) everything and the case was such an awesome bonus. and it even comes with a wide-angle lens.
ive been so pleased with this cameraboth underwater and above. i seldom used my old camera out of the water (sealife reefmaster mini) but this one is just as great out of the housing.
the hd video is great. the shots i got in coz and on my recent trip to costa rica were awesome. the resolution is fantastic and the clarity is off the charts when compared to my old 6mp unit.

Sea & Sea DX-1200HD/DX-860 Wide Angle Lens- AWESOME!! - As a snorkler with a newly found interest in underwater photography, I wanted an underwater camera/lens that would provide me the tools at a higher level than "throw-away cameras, yet not at the more sophisticated level of more professional camera/lenses. I purchased this camera and these great wide angle lens based on several online reviews. I have been somewhat skeptical of these type reviews but went ahead trusting them. I am so happy I trusted the reviews. I just returned from Bora Bora and snorkled quite a bit. The lens was a cinch to attach, water tight and very sturdy feeling without being overly heavy.

| Sea & Sea MDX-40D Housing for Canon EOS 40D/50D Reviews

Great for the 50D also - This case fits and works with the Canon 50D camera very well also. Solid construction and very professional quality. I am thrilled with it. The only issue I had when I first received it and put the camera in was that none of the back controls worked, not even the on and off control. After talking with Sea and Sea the problem was that I did not take off the eye guard on the camera. Once I did that everything worked great. It would be nice to get some instruction with it, but Sea and Sea responded to my email very quickly to resolve the issue.

Great Strobes - I like the strobes and especially like the LED aiming light. It doesnt eat the batteries up which is always a plus. The aiming light takes the guess work out of positioning them because you know exactly where they are pointing. They are small and compact which is always a plus too.
