| Scuba Stainless Steel Underwater Safety Shears Reviews
Reviewer: Paul S. on 8/20/2007
Safety Shears a Winner - Experienced divers know you should have two cutting devices with you if possible. The first, if you get tangled in line or another obstruction (NOT to fight off sharks or the evil guys from Thunderball), and the second, in case you cant reach the first due to entanglement or some other problem that limits your motion.
Many people pick a knife for their first cutting device, but pick shears for their second.
Why not pick another knife for a back up, second cutting device? Simple! Shears can be operated with one hand! If you have ever tried to cut line underwater, you will quickly realize that it often will "give" too much to enable cutting it with a slashing or sawing motion,... View Full Review

| Scuba Tank Carrier Reviews
Reviewer: Marc StClair on 8/21/2008
A True Back, Hand, & Shoulder Saver - This scuba tank carrier is one of the most innovated carriers I have seen on the market. I would like to shake the person’s hand that invented this product. It assists in carrying the tank and it relieves stress caused in the lifter’s back, hands, and shoulders when carrying air tanks the old fashioned way. This carrier is very durable, lightweight and easy to use when carrying the air tank to a filling station, vehicle, or even storage. The real secret or trick in using this carrier is to cinch down the straps as tight as you can before use! Once the carrier is on the air tank, leave it on the tank and position the carrier straps so they do not interfere with the BC back plate and... View Full Review

| Scuba 12.5 lbs Outback Roller Backpack Bag Reviews
Reviewer: David C. on 8/2/2009
A great bag! Or is it... - i just purchased the scuba 12.5 lbs outback roller bag because it had all of the features i was looking for: lots of space for my gear, backpack option and rugged construction. the bag works on almost all of these levels. its big: i got all of my gear including my reg (in the optional reg bag) fins, mask & snorkel, full-sized bcd (not travel-size), mesh boat-bag, my 3:2 shortie and a 3:2 full suit in it, along with my daughters fins, mask and snorkel, with enough room to spare to pack most of the clothes i needed for a full week! it was a little on the heavy side, but it made it through baggage check with no problems no additional charges for size or weight. the side pocket... | Scuba Dive Flag and Float Reviews
Reviewer: Jeff Baker on 8/24/2008
Failed During First Dive - The Good: The product design is great for the ease of portability. I travel by kayak to my favorite snorkeling spots and it takes up almost no room in my dive bag. The Bad: The product design is terrible based on the choice of material and manufacturing method. The plastic flag is spot-welded (e.g. melted) to the plastic flag stick. On my unit, the bottom weld was too deep and crimped the flag stick. Within an hour of use on the very first dive the flag stick failed at the crimp and flopped over like a dead fish making the flag virtually invisible to approaching boats. Not good. Upon returning home, I shoved a length of heavy gauge wire through the hollow plastic flag to give it... View Full Review

| Scuba Deluxe Weight Carry Bag Reviews
Reviewer: Brian G. on 8/13/2007
Convenient and strong... - While the compact size of this bag is a very convenient way to store and carry my weights and weight belt, I even have extra room to place my two small back-up lights and Pelican 4300 on top. The U-shaped zippered opening makes for easy access. The mesh panel on top is surprisingly sturdy, as well as the handles and zipper. I carry 24 lbs and my lights comfortably. The only downfall was that a shoulder strap was not included with the bag, even though the bag does have shoulder strap clips. Luckily, I had a spare, but in all honesty I never use it since the carry handle is actually more comfortable.

| Scuba Mask, Fin & Snorkel Backpack Bag Reviews
Reviewer: William C. on 4/10/2008
The best bag on the market - ok, first let me start off by saying i have never reviewed anything before in my life but this bag was absolutely sensational! every year we vacation in st john to scuba and snorkel and every year i wind up lugging around my mask and fins in a mesh bag. this year i bought the scuba.com bag and i could not be happier. it fits everything mask, snorkel, large mens fins and my teenage daughters fins and mask (or a regulator in the bottom below the fins). there is agreat zip-up bag on the front big enough for a shirt, knife, compass, snacks, etc. and a smaller pocket higher up on the bag for a wallet and a cell phone. the daisey chain on the pack also allows for carrying a large beach towel (or... | Scuba 5-Page Wrist Dive Slate Reviews
Reviewer: fun n. on 4/15/2007
Nice idea . . . poor execution. - Excited to show it off to my dive buddies whos forever immortalized with a picture of his dive slate floating in the deep, unbeknownst to him.
Cons:
1) For large forearms, not designed to be worn before strapping on the BC, unless you have detachable buckles on your shoulder harness.
2) Hard to write on a curved surface. Itd almost be better if it was flat with concave feet to fit your forearm.
3) Poor retention strap: The elastic velcro strap is way too flimsy to hold fast to your arm. The smooth back allows it to spin around your arm easily. I had to glue a thin foam pad to the back to help it stay in place. Now I still need to beef up the strap.
4) Weak o-rings: The... View Full Review

| Scuba BC Knife Reviews
Reviewer: Chris C. on 7/22/2009
Great small knife - Over the past 20 years of diving, Ive owned my share of titanium dive knives, huge seahunt leg machete knives, cheapo throw-away knives, and just about everything between. Ive also lost just about every dive knife Ive ever owned.
Now that I have more dive experience under my belt, I prefer to carry a knife which is small, sharp, has a decent sheath, is easy to wear, of reasonable cost, and it there when I need it. And thats why I bought this one.
This knife works great attached to your BC, the sheath holds the knife in tight (so you wont lose it) and is easy to release with one hand. Some people see surface rust forming quickly on a non-titanium knife. Just rinse it with fresh water... View Full Review

| Scuba Titanium Dive Knife Reviews
Reviewer: Gregory Cline on 9/26/2007
Scuba Titanium Dive Knife - Great knife! Not too big so easily straps to a leg and not too small,...giving it the advantage to handle the rough jobs also.
Knife has great balance, weight and feel. The knife I ordered was with a yellow band but did not ship that way. So happy with the knife in general,..it could have been pink and I would have kept it! Greg Cline

| Scuba Titanium BC Knife Reviews
Reviewer: Aivaras P. on 8/28/2007
One of the best dive knifes on the market - Really maintenance free & sharp as a razor out of the box! The only concern I had was, what it seemed to me, weak locking mechanism. However it held the knife well under the water. The knife stayed in place. Anyway, great product.

| Scuba Breakaway Octo Holder Reviews
Reviewer: Tom Chisholm on 9/17/2007
Restraining the Octopus - Your "octopus" needs to be both restrained and at the same time instantly accessable. This velcro=based holder provides a secure mounting point for the spare second stage, decreasing the liklihood of it getting entangled or coming loose, while still providing a simple, quick release when needed. No more buckles to squeeze or pockets to open, and no more dangling regulators tangled in kelp.
