Oceanic was founded in 1972 by Bob Hollis, and has dedicated itself to innovation ever since. The Oceanic team is constantly designed, fabricating, and testing new products to make diving better. Oceanic developed the first HUD (Heads-Up-Display) style mask, which feeds dive computer information like depth, air pressure, and direction to an LCD screen inside the mask itself. Oceanic also created rebreathers for the Navy, providing their soldiers and workers with M-25 and MK-16 models that allow a diver to breathe longer while at the same time eliminating tell-tale exhalation bubbles. Oceanic even developed a wetsuit for a penguin who was suffering from plumage loss, allowing it stay warm while it grew a new insulating layer.
Oceanic computers use dual-algorithm technology, allowing you to choose the decompression algorithm that works best for you. Oceanic regulators have DVT Dry Valve Technology that prevents moisture and particulate from collecting in the first stage. Oceanic fins are equipped with PEV Propulsion Enhancing Vents that speed water over the blade of the fin, increasing velocity and decreasing energy. Oceanic masks have a one-hundred percent silicone skirt, designed for a perfect fit.
Oceanic buoyancy compensators are made of “Fadeless” Cordura, a high-durability, super fabric that resists abrasions and tears. Oceanic snorkels use Dry Valve technology to keep excess water out of your breathing tube. With Oceanic, you’re always looking towards the future. See less
