| Oceanic Dive Downloader - USB Reviews
Reviewer: Eric Evans on 12/8/2007
Does the job, but... - i like my vt pro computer, but i think its a shame that the usb cordnecessary for uploading dive data to any computerdoesnt come standard. paying $400-500 for a computer is one thing, but an additional $79 for a simple usb cord stings. i cant imagine the meager additional profit is worth the customer aggravation such add-on costs cause.
the product itself works just fine, though the addition of a software cd would have been welcome. the program is a free download from the company website, but its just another example of oceanic asking the customer to jump through hoops for basic functionality.
the product works, and is absolutely necessary to keep a full, feature-rich catalog of... View Full Review

| Oceanic DataMask HUD (Heads Up Display) Air/Nitrox Computer Mask Reviews
Reviewer: GRANT J on 9/4/2007
awesome Datamask HUD - At first I was a little skeptical as it is big and you can definitely feel the weight when it is on your face above water. That all goes away once you drop, it is really awesome to have all the information right below your line of sight. It does not interfere with your vision and it is not obtrusive or too bright. I found it nice when my buddies would signal “check your SPG” and all I had to do was roll my eyes down. All in all I think it is a great concept and they executed the design very well. I can honestly say I love it and I look forward to many more dives to check out all of its features. But boy is it nice to not have to keep reaching down to look for a set of gauges. What I do... | Oceanic Ultra Dry Mini Snorkel Reviews
Reviewer: Julia Johnson on 5/26/2007
Not waterproof but nice anyway - Unlike the ad, water DOES get into these snorkels - many times in the kind of light waves in Maui - 8 to 12 inch waves.
They are however easy to clear and do prevent major swallowing of water that old style snorkels would allow. Not a bad buy for that reason alone. Saved me a couple of times when I had equipment problems and looked down into the water while trying to breath reflexively. Other dry snorkels appear to offer the same benefits so Im not convinced the higher price of this snorkel is worth it if the others prevent snorkels from flooding as well. If you do buy this I doubt you will ever find a way to flood the snorkel which I think is absolutely necessary not only to prevent a bad... View Full Review

| Oceanic Atom 2.0 Air/Nitrox Computer Watch Reviews
Reviewer: Michael P. on 6/16/2007
Great computer for the price. - I traded in a Mosquito for this computer. I believe it is the only watch style computer that does gas switches. There are 3 gas switches for tec diving. 21-100% O2. You can also do integrated pressure monitoring with it with a different transmitter on each of your tanks, so when you switch gases, you also switch transmitters automatically. It is also a Neo-Haldanean model, which is more liberal with recreational diving. I find the RGBM models to be too conservative for me. Its a great computer for the price. Definitely recommended.

| Oceanic Caribe X Full Foot Fins Reviews
Reviewer: Lance T. on 7/11/2007
I likeem - in general, these fins worked out great. i have a 10 1/2 wide foot size (us) and so i opted for the next size up (12-13 instead of 10-11). i was intending to use a 3mm soft boot for a dive in the catalinas but the width of the fins was too narrow to accommodate the boot comfortably (length was right but width was too uncomfortable). my body is warmer than average so not having the boot helped keep me cool. at times the fin size felt maybe a half size too big, but since my feet are wide, i just made sure my heels were all the way back and then the fins felt fairly snug. the fins performed well. it felt very easy and comfortable to move in the water. near the beginning of a dive, i felt my... | Oceanic Ultra Dry Snorkel Reviews
Reviewer: michelle m. on 6/7/2007
The Best Snorkel Ive tried ! - My husband and I love this snorkel!
* The wave deflector does work to decrease the amout of water that may enter from a splash. And the water that does enter from a splash is quickly wisked away by the purge valve at the bottom - so no worries!
* The water tight valve at the top is practically fail-safe. No matter how fast or slow I submerge, or at what angle, the valve snaps shut with no water entry.
* Compared to the other valves on other snorkles, the Ultra Dry is the best. Its smaller, so its not bulky and doesnt add weight to the snorkel.
* With other snorkel valves, they may accidently snap shut when taking a large gasp of air due to pressure changes - but not the Ultra Dry!... View Full Review

| Oceanic VT3 Air/Nitrox Hoseless Dive Computer Reviews
Reviewer: Patrick Reardon on 8/12/2007
VT3 Air/Nitrox Hoseless Dive Computer Computer with Transmitter - This is a great dive computer. Air-integrated, hoseless and worn on the wrist. Rapid acquisition of the transmitter signal. A great improvement over the previous generation of dive computer which I upgraded from. All of the essential information is easily accessed. Good ergonomics on the buttons. Easily accessed and used while wearing my gloves. The display has a large readout which is helpful for someone like me who uses "cheaters" (bifocals) to read. Included software and connections for downloading dive information, but I had repeated errors trying to use with Windows XP. I highly recommend this dive computer.

| Oceanic Air XS II Reviews
Reviewer: Jung K. on 2/3/2007
One less hose, but could be better - The Oceanic Air XS II works just as advertised. It was relatively easy for me to replace the inflator on my BC. My BC must have come with a slightly different hose than the Air XS was meant for. The Air XS came with a clip thats supposed to cover the hose connector, but it wont fit on my hose.
The inflator and the purge valve are easy to find. But the dump button is kind of small and will take some time for me to locate without looking.
I am happy with the Air XS II and very happy to get rid of one hose. Im sorry I waited so long to make the change.

| Oceanic Battery Kit Reviews
Reviewer: George D. on 6/21/2007
Good to have on Hand - Its always good to have a spare battery on hand, better than going out and buying it at radioshack, cause the one at radioshack doesnt come with the O-ring and grease that is vital to keep water out, I deffinitly recomend original equipment parts, and always haveing one on hand, cause it sucks when the screen comes on and says low battery and you are in the middle of knowhere in the Atlantic Ocean.

| Oceanic Pocket Semi-Dry Snorkel Reviews
Reviewer: Robert L. on 1/27/2007
Bottom Line: "I would buy it again" - My son and I went to Roatan and dove with the standard snorkel hanging off of our heads all of the time. A friend recommended switching to a foldable snorkel and simply keeping it in a pocket on the BC. This model from Oceanic is well engineered and works like a charm. In advance you simply place a very small mating disk (similar to rebust velcro) to the strap of your mask (less than the size of a quarter) and when you want your snorkel on the surface BAM! you whip it out of its BC pocket and attach to your mask strap and you are in business. Super quick and ends the presence of a useless underwater snorkel.
