New products from Mares
They come from far away.
From the passion for diving that sparkled in the eyes of Ludovico Mares. And which, 50 years later, lives on undiminished in every member of our team.
From a history of research and experimentation that has no intention of stopping.
From the persistence of those who believe that the best of today can be the starting point for tomorrow.
They gaze far away.
Beyond the possibilities of existing technology.
Beyond that which is commonly considered ´´the best in diving performance.´´
Beyond the preconceptions of those who believed everything had already been invented.
Beyond the sea at Rapallo, to win over divers around the world.
They will take you far away.

| Mares Nemo Wide Air/Nitrox Dive Computer Reviews
Reviewer: Donald A. Dutcher on 10/19/2008
Mares Nemo Wide - Discounted Display Model - LIKE NEW: I bought the display model which was $200 cheaper than a new one. It was in perfect shape. No scratches on the screen, the battery was 100 percent and the wrist band was uncut. MARES NEMO WIDE: The display is huge so it can display all the essential information on the screen. Everything is clearly laid out for you and easy to see from any distance or angle. The night light glows like the Timex Indiglo. DIVING WITH NEMO: I did 6 dives in Cozumel with my computer. It worked great. It clearly showed my depth and in large numbers my bottom time countdown. Audible alarms can be heard even with arms at your sides. Between dives Nemo does a desaturation countdown and it has a... View Full Review

| Mares Mission Puck Wrist Computer Reviews
Reviewer: Rachel d. on 8/29/2008
After much research... - If, like me, your are purchasing your first dive computer (or even your fifth) and are trying to decipher the reviews and ratings for all of the latest and greatest gadgets out there, I would like to add my recommendation for the Mares Puck. I spent a few months reading, considering, talking to others, checking out my husbands fancy dive computer, and comparing and contrasting every review I could find on dive computers. I am not one of those divers who wants the fanciest computer with all of the latest technology that would do everything but wash your dishes, but I didnt want something that fell short in any category and that I would be looking to replace in a couple of years. | Mares 2mm Low Top Medium Sole Equator Boots Reviews
Reviewer: Fran C. on 7/21/2008
Snorkel Booties - It was two days before our 2 week vacation to Hawaii when my package from Scuba.com arrived. I wasnt sure about these booties when they arrived because they were all about function and not much on fashion. I had already purchased another pair of booties from a local retailer before my saleman at Scuba.Com suggested I try these. When they arrived my husband (an ex Navy diver) explained how these booties were made to fit inside my fins with no bunching or rubbing around the ankle, unlike the other booties I had bought. The sole was flexible enough to allow full movement while inside the fins. Also, when I was out of my fins and just in the booties, they fit so snuggly to my feet that I... View Full Review

| Mares Icon with MRS Plus Weight System Reviews
Reviewer: Mark L. on 9/14/2008
Very good BC - Im an avid cold-water diver, and was looking for a sturdy BC that I could use here as well as for tropical dives. This BC folds up for travel which is a neat trick, but that means giving up the hard tank holder and losing a bit of stability in the process. That said, this is a sharp-looking BC, very high quality, nice looking, hyper-streamlined, minimalist, well-made, and versatile. Only down-sides are that it could use a little more lift (I dive light and still found myself riding pretty low in the water, and the chest strap is not optional - you must use it. Also, the contrasting seams look cool, but the threat they use is scratchy, so I wouldnt recommend this BC for tropical dives... View Full Review

| Mares 7/5/3mm Trilastic Superstretch Jumpsuit Reviews
Reviewer: Peter D. on 7/14/2008
Comfortable but be gentle with the 3mm water seals - Took the suit on its first dive trip to the Great Barrier Reef in QLD Australia for a couple of dives on the Yongala Wreck. Water temp was warmer than expected at about 20 degrees celcius. Suit was real comfortable and warm, even with short summer boots and no gloves or hood for multiple dives.
Word of caution on donning the suit. I kind of overbalanced a little while pulling the suit on and tore a small rip in the 3mm water seal on the ankle. While the suit as a whole is well made and appears quite strong those 3mm seal sections on ankles and wrists are very stretchy and tear quite easily. I have had the suit repaired and it has come up quite well, will be interesting to see how... View Full Review

| Mares 8/6/5mm Trilastic Jumpsuit Reviews
Reviewer: Shealeen M. on 7/12/2008
Comfy and Stretchy - This is an amazingly comfortable wetsuit - particularly for the thickness. I think it stretches better than Henderson Hyperstretch and the trilastic material feels soft and cozy. For a womens 7/5 its wonderfully easy to get into and its clearly made for a womans body - curves and all. I really like this suit.
That said, the generous sizing might be a bit of a problem for some. By "generous" I mean that a size 14 will actually fit a woman who wears size 14 jeans. Absurd that I have to consider this generous, but if youve tried on enough suits you will know what I mean. So - if in doubt, Id say order down (It will stretch, after all!). My own suit is a bit big and not as warm as it... View Full Review

| Mares Marker Buoy Reviews
Reviewer: Yvonne J. on 8/14/2008
Especially good as Flotation Device - i took this one snorkeling with me off lauderdale by the sea. while the hook provided was hard to get latched, it was better than a different latch i tried (which let it escape briefly in the wavesnot fun!). because of its lower height than many marker buoys, it probably isnt as good for visibility in choppy surf luckily, the sea was very calm that day, and it did fine. it proved particularly useful when my swim-partner kept lingering as i, spent, was trying to get her back toward shore, and i overdid it i was able to rest holding onto the buoy as a flotation device until she caught up! i particularly liked how easy this was to pack, and adding water to the bottom chamber kept it positioned... | Mares X-Vision Liquid Skin Mask Reviews
Reviewer: Bryan C. on 7/15/2007
Hands down the best mask Ive ever used!!!! - This mask delivers! It is soft, offers a huge field of vision and does not leak. Like most new masks, it does take a few cleanings and uses to get it to stop fogging.
I do have one piece of advice relating to this mask. Buy one with the solid gray/silver skirt instead of the one with the translucent colored skirt. The translucent colored pink/blue/yellow, etc. skirt allows light in through the sides and gives a weird tinted peripheral world view... The solid skirt mask does not do this.

| Mares Dragon Airtrim BC with MRS Plus Weight System Reviews
Reviewer: Doyle Sullivan on 11/20/2006
Dragon Air Trim - I used my new Mares Dragon AT for the first time a couple of weeks ago. It took about 2 seconds to become spoiled. The power assisted deflation worked better than I expected. When one pushes the deflate button, the purge valve makes a distictive noise that that makes it easy to know how much air is being released. Also, no bubbles to disturb your view. Dont plan on using the side pockets for much storage.
