| Henderson 3mm Thermoprene Shorty Wetsuit Reviews
Reviewer: Lisa M. A. on 2/17/2009
Henderson 3mm Thermoprene Shorty serves more bounce to the ounce! - Fact is, Im a big woman. Im into the range of the specialty sizes listed on manufacturers like Henderson - and some dont even list them at all.
So when Im faced with the possiblity of special orders and custom made items with exorbitant costs, I turn to scuba.com and start trolling the closeouts and clearance for larger mens sizes.
This time I was preparing for a dive in tropical weather, and wanted my OWN shorty instead of the ragged scraps often served by dive shops in the area.
I found this item among a number of others - it was a out of the box demo, so I took a risk (my risk taking with scuba.com is often VERY rewarding) and got it.
Once arrived, the thing was pure magic. ... View Full Review

| Henderson 3mm Thermoprene Front Zip Shorty Wetsuit Reviews
Reviewer: Vahe Petrossian on 9/20/2009
Easy access and comfortable - i found the front entry zip access convenient. the thermoprene is a good combination of flexibility and warmth. i own the henderson 5mm hyperstretch too and the comfort between the 3mm thermoprene and the 5mm hyperstretch are on par. i bought the shorty for snorkeling and swimming in hawaii. i typically go to the windward side like kailua beach and usually during the winter months, so a shorty with some thermal protection will be great. in the past i used rash guards only, but with the wind, a wet rash guard gets very cold.
overall henderson is a great brand for wetsuits. you cant go wrong with them. they are also one of the few brands with a good line of kids wetsuits too.

| Henderson Polyolefin Hot Dive Socks Reviews
Reviewer: Ruth E G. on 9/11/2008
Warm and dry socks - I purchased these socks to take with me on my recent trip (08-22-08) to the Galapagos to use when we snorkeled. I looked silly wearing these with my knee length spring suit, however, they did the job by keeping my feet dry and warm while I snorkeled. I loved these socks. I also purchased a hood that worked perfectly. I now want to buy gloves for my hands and a full body suit. Btw-snorkeling around the Galapagos islands was amazing. Our favorite was snorkeling with penguins, sea lions, rays blue footed boobies and an abundance of fish around Pinnacle Rock!

Great for warm water and protection - Jeff R. 6-15-10
Great suit, great fit. We vacation in Mexico each year and I spend a lot of time snorkling and do some diving. I have a nerve problem in my legs and have trouble keeping them warm even in warm water conditions. Last year I purchased the lycra jumpsuit and it helped but not totally for my condition. This year I added the Polyolefin jumpsuit over the top of my lycra suit and it was perfect for diving even to 85ft. depths. I was totally comfortable, and warm and felt no restrictions in movement. Had some trouble with the kneepad stitching but is seems it was a factory problem that I sure has been solved. Sucba replaced the defective suit without hesitation and the service... View Full Review

| Henderson 3mm Childs / Juniors Thermoprene Shorty Wetsuit Reviews
Reviewer: Vahe Petrossian on 9/20/2009
Excellent Wetsuit for Kids - I bought myself a Henderson Shorty and bought this Henderson 3mm Childs Thermoprene Shorty for my 7 year old daughter.
So hard to find a kid’s wetsuit for 7 years old that have any real amount of thermal protection. The Henderson 3mm Thermoprene was the answer. I daughter is very comfortable with it and provides good thermal protection for a 3mm wetsuit. She plays in the sand and snorkels all day without discomfort.
Another nice added value is since wetsuits are buoyant, it helps out snorkeling for extended periods of time.
Overall, I recommend this wetsuit for thermal and sun protection.

| Henderson 3mm Thermoprene Zippered Wetsuit Vest Reviews
Reviewer: Steven E. on 2/8/2010
Henderson Front Zippered Vest - I purchased this vest to serve a dual role. First to add a layer of warmth while in the lap pool 3 times a week and also to use on warm water dive trips as a substitute for my 4mm shorty. To date I have only been in the pool with it. The front zipper makes it very easy to get on and off. It is well constructed and provides the needed layer of warmth. My only complaint is that while swimming the crawl stroke the zipper doesnt stay zipped all the way. I doubt this will be an issue while diving with much less upper body motion and a BC over the top. According to the Henderson sizing chart I should wear a mens medium (I took measurements to be sure). So that is what I ordered. It was... View Full Review

| Henderson Lycra Dive Skin Jumpsuit Reviews
Reviewer: Scott Michael on 10/6/2008
Best Skin Ive used yet - The real reason I use a skin is to help me slip into a wetsuit and to provide sunburn protection between dives. I used an Akona skin which was fine for sunscreen protection but it zips in back which means you need help to don and doff it. The nylon/lycra composition of the Henderson skin is much slicker than the Akona making it easier to wiggle into a wet or dry wetsuit.
With the front zipper, you can peel the top of your wetsuit down and unzip the front of the skin. The wet skin retains water and cools you off better than bare skin if there is even a slight breeze.
The only difference I can see between this skin and Hendersons more expensive skin is the decoration on the trim,... View Full Review

| Henderson 5mm Thermoprene Jumpsuit / Wetsuit Reviews
Reviewer: Cindy C. on 9/4/2007
Thermoprene wetsuit - I was impressed with the thermoprene wetsuit when I tried it on. I already use the Henderson hyperflex and love it. The marketing made it sound as though the thermoprene would not be quite as flexible as the hyperflex but I found it equally as easy to get into. The knee pads are much more flexible. I was looking for a wetsuit that could be used windsurfing and surfing and the thinner knee is very appealing. The velcro from the neck does not stick to the thermoprene like it does to the hyperflex, which I have found to be the only drawback to the hyperflex. I purchased the 5mm as I get chilled very easily. I have not used the suit yet but I am very happy with the fit and expect it will... View Full Review

| Henderson 3mm H2 Hyperstretch Titanium Shorty Wetsuit Reviews
Reviewer: Richard Shelton on 3/27/2010
Best wetsuit I have tried - I recently purchased this product and am impressed at the comfort level and quality of the suit. The stretch allowed by this product makes it easy to take on/off. I am diving in the bahamas where in the winter the water is in the low 70s and I came here expecting it to be int he 80s. I used a 5mm rental full wetsuit by recommendation and that was fine but I wanted to try out the 3mm shorty that I just got. After about a 50 minute dive, my core body was still warm but my legs and arms were cold because of the constant exposure. I felt that the part of my body that was enclosed by the suit was as warm as the 5mm I had dove in the previous day. I have since stuck with the shorty and at the end... View Full Review

| Henderson Short Sleeve Water Shirts Reviews
Reviewer: Mary W. on 8/16/2011
Love This Dive Skin/Rash Guard! - I bought this rash guard for warm water diving in Bonaire this past June. I wanted to donn the markings of my favorite wet suit manufacturer, with just as much coverage as I need for warm water dives (not much). The tan lines fall in the right places for the return back to the office, its a durable shirt, and the fit was great! Order your blouse size, not swim suit size. 30 dives later, I found that the light color does attract dirt from constant on-and-off motion of a black BC, but came out easily upon the return home with a pre-soak spray. It will pick up dirt at the ends of the cap sleeves and at the midsection where the BC velcro attaches. A great choice for a feminine look, snug... View Full Review

| Henderson 7mm H2 Hyperstretch Titanium Jumpsuit / Wetsuit Reviews
Reviewer: Bill M. on 7/30/2009
Great fit. - Im 64", 34" inseam, 246 lbs, and this 7 mm wetsuit fit perfectly right out of the box. After wearing an older, two-piece wetsuit for years, Ive decided that the one-piece, Hyperstretch jumpsuit is definitely the way to go! I wear a dive skin underneath to help donning it and still the fit is great. With hood, gloves and booties, its warm enough for me to dive in 55 degree F water, but I switch to my drysuit for colder water. (Keep in mind that Im from New England and were used to cold water diving :). Ive seen dive masters wearing 7 mm wetsuits in the Caribbean!).
