XS Foto GoMask Ironmann, Black

The GoMask Ironmann from XS Foto is an underwater diving mask that features a three-prong GoPro Mount, anti-glare / anti-UV multi-layer lens coating, and all-black styling. Identical in form to the GoMask un[framed], the mask utilizes a "frameless" design that directly bonds the silicone skirt to the glass lens. To avoid the green tint caused by excess iron particles in many scuba masks, the GoMask features an Everclear glass lens, which uses high-quality optical glass to help ensure fewer impurities and less blockage of light underwater. In addition, the glass is tempered for added impact resistance and comes pre-treated for use with anti-fogging solutions.

The lenses of the mask are made from an Everclear glass. Standard glass has a green tint. The green tint you see is the result of iron impurities left over in lower quality "float" or window type glass. That green tint distorts true colors and blocks-out some of the light that reaches the eye. Everclear is an optical quality tempered glass with exceptional clarity and high light transmission, with no color distortion. The exceptionally high light transmittance and lack of distortion in the ultra-clear lens maximizes the light available for improved visual acuity, especially underwater in low light conditions. Better vision, truer colors is what you get with XS Foto Everclear lenses. High quality Everclear glass meets ANSI Z86. 11-1985v standards.

The three-prong mount is constructed from blacked-out nickel plated stainless steel and has built-in threading, so there is no nut to lose. A blacked-out nickel plated stainless steel CQR CoinScrew is included, which is a thumbscrew that secures your camera into the three-prong mount. It features a built-in friction ring to prevent slippage and a slot for using a coin to get extra leverage when tightening the screw. Secure attachment of all models of GoPro cameras. Angled forward camera mount to reduce interference with exhaled bubbles.

The XS Foto GoMask Ironmann has a liquid silicone (LIM Molding) double feathered edge skirt for excellent universal fit and seal. Often referred to as frameless, direct bonding of the silicone skirt to the glass lens. Old school 304 grade blacked-out nickel-plated stainless-steel buckles for highest level of dependability. The skirt and wide split strap work in concert for a perfect seal on the face. The dual reverse teardrop lens design allows for maximum underwater vision and the intake of light. Mask is equipped with an easy to reach one hand nose pocket for ear equalization which can be utilized even when wearing thick gloves. Strong, over-built construction, yet lightweight for travel at just 8.9 oz. (252 g). Mask comes with a durable protective storage box. Note: Do not use anything containing abrasives (like toothpaste) to clean the lens, as it can damage the lens coatings.
