simple and work, release valve is loud

Overall go item for casual use. well build for home uses. If you own a dive shop, a better constructed one would be better. Pressure release value is push button, the release action is instantaneous. It makes a loud noise. I wonder if I will blow the o-ring one day. I like the twish release machanism better because it can release the pressure more guadually

This chrome plated, marine grade solid brass DIN Tank Pressure Checker comes equipped with a pressure gauge that reads 5,000 psi (350 bars). High Pressure Gauge is incased in an impact resistant rubber boot has DIN threaded end with large hand wheel for easy mounting even with gloved hands. Gauge has a switch style bleed-off valve fitting for easy-detachment. DIN thread plastic protector cap included. Pressure Checker makes a great save-a-dive-kit item.

JOSE P  Picture shows a large air bubble in upper portion of gauge face. Is that true?
JULIO R  The liquid is not in every pressure gauge. The liquid is designed to damped the pressure fluctuations and keep the gauge from corrosion over time. It helps to increase the life of device.
STEVEN P  Yes, it allows for deviations due to temperature and fluctuations of the internal mechanical parts. If there were no bubble it would not work. The oil is a safety feature, as it loses pressure quicker than air or water should the gauge rupture.
MITCHELL J  Yes that is a bubble. Oil filled gauges need a bubble left in them so they will work properly.

MARTIN B  I'm not quite sure what you are asking, but most DIN valves are sold with an insert so that they can be filled with a whip that has a yoke on the end of it. If filling with a DIN fitting, the insert needs to be removed. Once it is removed then the DIN Tank Pressure Checker can be used to see how much gas you have. I also have yokes that can be put on DIN regulators to use them with tanks that have standard valves, and they can be put on the DIN tank Pressure Checker to see what's in a tank with a standard valve. Personally I have two tank guages, one for each type of valve.
PETE D  If you are asking if this gauge can be used on a yoke valve using a din to yoke converter, the answer is yes. I check my yoke valve taks all the time with this pressure checker and using a converter. I am also very happy with the checker itself.
TIBOR T  No, that's a pressure guage with a DIN fitting.
JERRY K  Yes, it will work. I have the same one and using DIN to Yoke converter can check pressure in tanks with Yoke type valves.
ROBERT R  If you have a female din to a yoke converter you should be able to screw this on and read standard yoke tanks as well as DIN tanks.
