So far so good

By NORMAN R.

Easy to install and has been on several dives where it always worked.

Couldn't be happier

By Ted T.

My son was taking his advanced course with our local scuba club on his first in pool session his bc wouldn't hold air, it was the inflator, it was not functioning. I ordered the part on Wednesday, it arrived on Thursday and we had it intalled on his bc in 20 minutes. Ready to go for the next class. The whold experience was great. The inflator works like a charm and was simple to install. Thank you Pros!

Having a spare as a diver/technician is routine. This power inflator with angled mouthpiece can get you out of a jam if you find a problem with the one attached to your BCD. Many technical divers like to custom build their own BCD. The inflator mechanism is a classic old school power inflator design built-to-last. The Inflator is designed to fit to any 1" (2.5cm) diameter corrugated BCD inflation hose and comes complete with cable activation pin to hook-up internal corrugated hose cable is so equipped. The durable non corrosive plastic body with chrome plated brass quick-disconnect (QD) bayonet fitting. Easy to install with tie-wraps (see SKU: AQUTW10). Inflator mechanism is a great item for a save-a-dive-kit item.

Questions about this item:

JEFFREY K  3/4 inch flex hose power inflator?
NORMAN R  Worked like a charm for me.
D E C  I don't see the need. For seven years mine has not worked, and if I need air (only when using heavy wet suit) , I manually blow into my inflator. I can't see why a power inflator is needed at all. Comments?
MICHELLE T  That's awesome that you have adapted!! I always like to have options in keeping myself safe. Power inflation is not always the answer and neither is manual inflation. BUT, having both gives you more options and peace of mind....
ED W  Why would you need to add more air if you are wearing a heavy wetsuit? Seems to me you'd be more buoyant in a heavier wetsuit, needing less air in your BCD, not more - unless, of course, you are carrying more weight to compensate for the heavier wetsuit. From a safety point of view, I would prefer leaving my primary second stage in my mouth during a dive and use the auto inflator to easily trim my buoyancy - push button convenience too! Safe diving! Cheers!
NORMAN R  If you get in a bind, it is nice to be able to inflate quickly by pushing a button.
Marcos T  Will this fit aqualung powerline for sea quest bcd? Pro QD.
DOUG W  I thought so...but it doesn't fit true...and it is 180 degrees off..don't get this part I had to buy from another supplier...they had the exact OEM part
DENNIS H  This fit our Sea Quest Pro QD BCD . Our BCD's are over 10 years old so I am not sure about a brand new BCD. I don't think they have changed much in the past 10 years. I hope that helps
THOMAS P  The short answer is, "I don't know." That said, if your BC has a standard gauge inflator hose - and why wouldn't it? - then I expect it will fit.
NORMAN R  I don't know. It worked on my Sherwood AVID BCD.
NORMAN R  Will this fit a Sherwood AVID BCD? And do 2 ties come with an order?
DAVID S  Its a perfect item to keep an extra of, I now have 2. I bought 1 initialy to use while my dive partner had a constantly malfunctioning scubapro air2, and had to install on her bcd 2 times and recently while on a trip a diver on a boat I was on had a malfunction of his inflator and the boat crew could not fix his and I gave mine to them and while we went on to dive the crew swaped it out for him and he was able to continue diving the next 2 dives that day as well as the rest of the week. He had taken us out to dinner and drinks that had probably was 3 times the cost and I never worried about the cost of it. I ordered another when returning home and several days after my new one arrived, my new found friend sent me a new one too. His is still in use on his bcd, and I believe it did come with the pin and 1 cable tie, but not sure about tie but I always keep them handy as well on my boat and travel kit.
KENNETH C  No to the ties and on the BC, check size of hose very simple change on our Sherwood BCs.
JEFF R  Norman, Yes, this power inflator works great with a Sherwood Avid. I replaced a leaking infator on my Sherwood Avid with this part. Been using it constantly for the last year with no problem. I don''t think it come with zip ties. - Jeff
THOMAS P  To the moderator, I thought this was a question about a different power inflator I purchased from LP.. The answer I gave is wrong b/c it does not relate to this item. Please don't post my previous answer.
THOMAS P  I don't know if it will fit, but the connector leaked from Day 1. Since it it a proprietary fitting, it's not a part you can swap out. I would recommend against this purchase.
JAMES J  Will this unit work on Zeagle Ranger BCDs and be a better OEM option? Thanks.
PAUL H  Jim, I'm pretty sure this power inflator will work on the Zeagle Ranger. Just remove the tie raps from original, peel back the inflator hose from inflator and remove the retaining pin from the inflator to free it from the dump cable. Put on the new inflator, in reverse order and finish up by securing with new tie wraps. (Don't forget to hook the cable back onto the pin)
DAVID S  It should, I have used this on several bcd's with no problems, I used on Oceanic, Seaquest, aeris, and a scuba max. Its simple design is great compaired to some. I will order again.
JAMES J  Thanks David, I will review my needs and return to order this or wait until the stock Zeagle inflator is back in stock.
