Makes the DC work horse first stage tech friendly

I converted my Hollis DC1 yoke to din for side mount and back mounted doubles. I've used up to steel HP 120's with it no problem. Installation was pretty easy, needed 2 big adjustable wrenches for leverage. After the conversion I highly recommend you get your first stage tested or serviced professionally.

You started diving with yoke style cylinder valves, but you feel the higher cylinder pressure available with DIN cylinders will be an advantage to your style of diving. Well this kit will allow you to do just that, shed the yoke and increase bottom time with this 300 bar (4,350 psi) DIN conversion kit. The kit is easy-to-install, and is designed for the Hollis DC Series First Stage Regulator see SHU's: HLSDC15, HLSFSDCX, HLS1D3, HLSFSDC3, and HLS2D (not for the DC-7 see SKU's: HLSFSDC7, HLS1D2, HLSDC75). DIN Converter is manufactured from marine grade chrome plated brass for strength and durability. DIN regulators allow use with high pressure steel cylinders.

Shopper  Will this work on the DCX?
ERIC M  It should work. When I took the Hollis Technicians course the only real change was cosmetic and the 1st stage housing length. But as a disclaimer you should have a service authorized person do it so everything is torqued to the proper specifications

DERICK H  Will this conversion actually allow my entire Hollis DC2 1st stage rated at 3500psi to be used with 4350psi/300 Bar Tank Pressure?
ERIC M  I've used mine with a HP 120 steel tank 3442 psi no problem. You'll need to contact Hollis about 4350 psi and I highly recommend you get your first stage serviced after the conversion.

Hahaha yeah about contacting Hollis, good freaking luck on getting a reply from them or Oceanic and all the former AUP brands since HUISH acquired and took over, the customer service for those brands that to me was once as legendary as Bob Hollis is now pethetic. ? I just had my 1st Stage & Regs serviced a month ago ehen I dove The Red Sea, why do you suggest a service after the conversion? I haven't received this item yet (backorder) so sny safety, tech, manufacturer recommendations ahead of time would be greatly appreciated as it takes me at least 1 week to get service set up at the only Hollis/Oceanic authorized dealer-service center in Kuwait.
ERIC M  Yea getting that info is defiantly not a walk in the park but it could mean the difference between life and death. The good news is I downloaded the Hollis regulator owners guide and it references the Maximum working pressure: 300 bar (4351 PSI). I highly recommend downloading it and checking your setup against the specs. I recommend servicing after (if you do the install yourself) because the first stage is a major life support device. Hate to have you find out at 120 feet As a Divemaster here in New York City most accidents I see are from poor equipment maintenance so I always tend to be over cautious
DERICK H  Eric, can you provide me a link for the Hollis Regulator download. Ive been trying to find all the stuff on all my equipment however my net being foreign it wont return US sites often, and will auto switch over to Kuwait -- frustrating. Oh as far as the service, no worries I never do maintenance, I know my place and limit even as a experienced diver all my maintence is done IAW Manufacturers Recommendations. As I stated before in asking questions it takes me a week to set up service here in Kuwait, so the more I know the better on equipment recommendations but from the start of looking into this DIN conversion to making the order the install will be done by the 1 Hollis Authorized Equipment Dive Shop here in Kuwait upon its arrival to me.
Trent R  Is this user interchangeable? I have the DC2 Yoke 1st stage...can I make the change out to this din myself? Or is a dealer / certified technician required?
