Great suit, very comfortable

By DIANE C.

 -  Captain Cook, HI, US

My husband got one of these suits for himself and raved about how easy it is to get on and off. So I got one for myself and it is much easier to get on and off. My other 5mm suit required assistance. It tends to “grow” when wet, gets a little bigger. Warm enough for someone who is cold in 78-80 degree water.

Great wetsuit

By JENNIFER R.

 -  Sammamish, WA, US

Used this suit for the first time in Cabo area. Love the suit. Warm, easy to don and doff, smooth interior and comfortable. I am 5'3", 122 lbs, size 6 and it fits me well.

The Thermoprene Pro the next generation of Henderson's ultra-popular Thermoprene wetsuit line that delivers quality and performance a step above the rest. A fantastic value, Thermoprene is ideal for budget-minded divers who want the best in materials, design and construction. Significant improvements in comfort and flexibility will be one of the most noticeable enhancements found in the new Thermoprene Pro line. Thermoprene is crafted from a high-quality neoprene that has 250% stretch a significant improvement over the 180% stretch of the original Thermoprene. The new material f±melts" in your hands and contours every curve of your body.

This increased stretch significantly improves diver comfort by making Thermoprene suits noticeably more flexible than the competition. Thermoprene is also easier to get into, pulling over the shoulders and around the torso with less huff and puff than standard wetsuits. And, the fabric's exterior stands up extremely well to friction, meaning it won't show undue wear from BC straps and weight belts. New patterns which have been developed using fitting data from Henderson's pattern library which contains over five decades of USA grading and patterning knowledge.

Get the features and design benefits of more expensive suits in this economically priced jumpsuit ideal for both local waters and exotic destinations. The Thermoprene Pro Jumpsuit's effectiveness is based on a contoured fit that helps keeps water exchange to a minimum combined with a superior grade of neoprene for maximum heat retention. All seams are double-glued and blind stitched which further prevents water seepage and extends suit life. Creature comforts include a spine pad and an adjustable collar. To help protect the suit durable, yet flexible freedom Duratex knee pads are included. Suit has a #10-YKK back zipper with zipper tab leash for easy donning and doffing. Suit is available in multiple sizes, and is black in color.

Questions & Answers

Questions about this item:

MARC J  Looking for leg zippers do any of these have them?
Robert A  This Henderson 3 mm Thermoprene suit does not have ankle zippers. It's pretty stretchy, though, and getting my feet through isn't a problem. I have a 7 mm Henderson suit for cold water. I don't recall what the name of it is (i.e., if it's a Thermoprene suit), but it has gusseted ankles with Velcro closures. Years ago I had a 3 mm Henderson suit that was completely slick on both the inside and outside. I don't remember what it was called. I think durability was a problem with them. Mine started to tear at both the seams and in the middle of the panels. Anyway, because of the slickness, I had a hard time getting my feet through the legs. I started using KY Jelly on my feet and that made things much easier. That might be a solution to not having zippers.
PHILIP W  As others have stated, zippers are not really needed. I used this 3mm Thermoprene on a live aboard where it went on and off 3-5 times a day. I had no problems at all. I had an older Seaquest 3/2 years ago that I really liked, but putting that wetsuit on without zippers would have been extremely difficult. No so with this Thermoprene suit. I’ve had two other Henderson shorty’s, one was a Polartec, and the material flexibility and quality on this Henderson Thermoprene wetsuit is far superior to any other wetsuit I have owned. My 3/2 has a cool pattern on the upper chest too that I really like.
Paula R  Hello - No the suit does not have leg zippers. The Henderson 3mm Thermoprene material is so elastic that I don't even think of needing zippers at ankles or wrists. Very stretchy and comfortable wetsuit material.
MILT R  Hello - The Henderson 3mm Thermoprene material is so elastic that I don't even think of needing zippers at ankles or wrists. Very stretchy and comfortable wetsuit material.
Robert C  Is there an inside lining material and if so what is it?  Also what temps are 3MM suits rated for?
Robert A  The interior of this suit is basically the same nylon material that’s on the outside. So there isn’t any lining per se. But this neoprene is very nice. It stretches easily, which makes getting the suit on and off much easier compared with other suits made of stiffer neoprene. 3mm suits are really geared toward tropical diving. However, exactly how comfortable (or not) you’d be in a 3mm suit has a lot to do with how you personally react to cold. I’ve started to feel a bit chilled while wearing a 3mm full suit in water that was almost 80, when others were fine in skins or, in one case, a T-shirt. So regardless of any suit’s temperature rating, consider how you yourself respond to cold. Another thing to consider is fit. Henderson suits fit me well and don’t really allow water to flush through the inside. I’ve worn other brands that kind of pumped cold water into the suit anytime I moved my arms. A good fit is probably equally important as neoprene thickness when it comes to overall exposure protection.
MILT R  Hi - Henderson Wetsuit Thermoprene is soft and very stretchy material with nylon on both sides. I bought it for tropical diving 75-85 degree water but took advantage of opportunity to dive Great Blue Hole Belize, which was 65 degrees at depth, and was happy I had the full 3mil style. 5mil would have been perfect for Blue Hole, that day. I highly recommend the Henderson Thermoprene wetsuits. This one is my 2nd....
Noelle T  Neoprene wetsuits are not lined, they are literally as thick as the mm states. So a 3mm is 3mm thick neoprene. A 3mm suit would be best for warm tropical water temps in the 80’s. If you get cold easily, stay in for long dives, are looking for a more versatile suit and/or water is in the 70’s or less, a 5mm wetsuit in my opinion is much more comfortable. I use my 5mm everywhere and I love it. But ultimately its personal preference.
Marylin B  My husband is 5 10 and 220+ will the XXL Short still fit him?
ALEX G  Hello I don’t if this helps but I’m 5’8” 235 lbs and I bought the large one and it fits perfect.
Noelle T  I think he will need a regular, not a short. Short refers to height sizes such as 5’4
KIRK W  I'm 6'2", 175 lbs, 41-42" chest, 34" waist, and 34" inseam. This puts me between sizes on the chart. Any size advice?
ALEX G  Hello well I’m 5’8 225lb and I got the large regular and it fit perfectly and my waist size is 36” hope it helps
Mario C  Thank you for your question. you do fall in between the LT and Xl, most likely they will both fit you, in my opinion the LT may fit you better, i do know Henderson size charts are true to size. If you can order both, keep the most comfortable and return the other.
Shopper  Why no tall sizes at leisurepro?
KEVIN F  It is possible to special order certain suits in other sizes. Please contact our sales department.
