About Fantasea 5131 BigEye Lens M46

The BigEye Lens is a patented wide-angle lens with a 46mm thread, which fits over the housing's port and can be installed and removed during the dive. Perfect for shooting seascape, divers, ship wrecks and schools of fish, without moving further away from the subject, thereby still taking full advantage of water clarity and artificial light sources. The lens can be mounted on 46mm threaded lens ports or other lens ports by using an adaptor.

Lens is depth rated to 200' (60m), has a field of view recovery (magnification) of 100% (X0.75), with an angle of coverage of 63% with a 35mm compact digital lens. The lens is made of optical glass, hard coated plastic and lightweight 5.79 oz. (164 g) corrosion resistant anodized aluminum. Lens comes with a hard lens cover, secure line to attach to camera housing and an instruction manual.

Questions & Answers

Questions about this item:

GEORGE S  Will this fit a Fantasea FRX100 IV housing for a Sony RX100III?
Mario C  Given that your housing has a 46mm threaded lens ports or other lens ports by using an adapter.
ELBERT M  I have an Olympus PT-044 underwater housing and a M46 Red Eye filter. Will the M46 wide angle work with the red filter?
B C  No. You can use only one at a time
ELBERT M  Would it be desirable to use a red filter with the wide angle lens? If so, is there a red filter that will work with the M46? thanks!
B C  A red Filter is always good when you lack red color on a deeper dive. I don't know of one that will do both. You may want to consider putting a red film on the inside of your housing.
ELBERT M  I received the M46 wide angle from Leisure Pro yesterday and it does work with the M46 red filter. The red filter has both a 46 mm male side and 46 mm female side. The red filter screws onto the PT044 housing and the Big Eye screws onto the red filter. Thought you would like to know. thanks
Vanessa A  I have a cannon S95 in the cannon housing. Will this fit? Or do you have another one to fit it? What about the dome? Thanks!
YAN G  It fits on a 46 mm threaded housing port. The WP-DC38 housing does not have a threaded port, and it will not accept this lens. Not sure if any lens would fit. Probably check with Canon for an alternative.
Howard B  I have a cannon s95 in a ikelite housing, will this fit?
MIYUKI S  The ikelite housing for a canon s95 has a 67mm threaded port. This is for a 45mm threaded port and will not work. You will need the Ikelite W-20, 0.56x Wide-Angle Conversion Lens with a 67mm Mounting Thread SKU: IK6420. The Fantasea 5137 BigEye Lens M67 SKU: FNT5137 will also fit.
wallace h  will this lens fit my oylmpus pt-029 houseing also filter 5178 will it fit my houseing?
Brett H  As I recall the PT-029 had a 46mm thread so both of these items should thread right on.
