Personally, I tried this stages (include xt2 and rg300) more than 300 times (dives) and ever works as I have expected.
Quality comparable with other premium brands, or even better, by a fraction of their prices.
New xt2 has a invaluable feature that can switch inlet side from right (common side) to left.

Already own a DR XT second stage and decided to buy another because it is the closest I’ve gotten to feeling the sensation of breathing on the surface. Very little resistance. The price makes this regulator unbeatable where some that triple the price of this still don’t compare performance wise. Am an instructor and I use this everyday and have put over 1000 dives on mine.

The second stage regulator ha an ergonomic dive/pre-dive Venturi lever that is easy to adjust even with thick gloves.The Venturi lever prevents regulator free flow. Second stage uses a pneumatically balanced downstream valve, which provides better performance at depth.
The second stage has an external adjustment knob to adjust the valve to fine tune inhalation effort. The second stage housing is manufactured from durable impact resistant ABS plastic and cover is carbon fiber with chromed brass adjustment knob and barrel tube. The spring and lever are stainless-steel and the second stage comes standard with Teflon coated internal parts, which makes it cold-water ready. What size fitting and type male/female for the hose on this second stage?

Thank you for your question. This regulator would have a 3/8"-24 male UNF thread for the first stage connection with a standard 9/16"-18 female UNF scuba style nut for connection to the second stage regulator.

Is the standard right hand mean hose enters on the right side of the regulator?

Yes, it is. And it is Standard because almost all 2nd stages are like that without able to set it up on the other way.
Just very few of them, like The XT2 2nd stage, are configurable for both right or left hand side connection set up...

That’s right - to your right as you are using the reg, which is the normal way. Some regs allow you to switch sides which might allow better hose routing when doing side mount diving -

Is this DiveRite reg O2 Clean and does it come with the green replacement screw on cover? I am looking for a second O2 second stage deco regulator.

Double check with the manufacturer but my recollection is they are O2 clean out of the box. The green cover should be an option in the order menu. If it doesn't appear in the drop down menu on the order page then no, it won't come with the green cover. Great 2nd stage, I have used them as both primary and deco regs and they perform.

Yes, they are O2 clean and you can buy a replacement (green) for your deco rig from divegearexpress dot com for $6.

The second stage does not need to be 02 clean because the pressure at the second stage is low pressure about 150 psi. It does not come with a green cover but you can get one from dive rite.
