I ordered two straps and they work great although it took a lot of work to get them adjusted on my small XS backpack with a 30 cu ft tank. Had to cut the straps with shears to shorten them up for this small tank. The enclosed antislip rubber sleeves work great; no slippage.
Bought 2, perfect for sidemount

I purchased these for trips where I can carry with me, lite, easy to manage when I bring my sidemount system. So far, they work great but they do seem to slide a little.
The Dive Rite Low-Profile, 1.5" (3.8cm) Cam Strapis a popular option for rigging side-mount or stage bottles. Using a low-profile marine grade stainless-steel cam buckle, the 1.5" (3.8cm) wide strap is 36" (91.4cm) in length and is user adjustable to fit cylinders from 5" (12.7cm) in diameter up to 8" (20.3cm) in diameter. Rubber non-slip pad prevents the cylinder from shifting once the cam strap is secured, and protects the cylinder from being scratched by the buckle. Excess webbing is secures using hook & loop, which will also prevent the buckle from accidentally coming open. Low profile cam strap weighs 6.2 oz (175.7g).

Is the stainless steel buckle stitched onto the webbing or is it secured with a plastic slide only?

The strap unit I got several years ago is not sewn at all. The fixed end is secured with a stainless steel slide so that the adjustment required can take place on that end allowing the Velcro end to remain fixed for optimal clamping. The straps are not world class at holding. The tank will/can slide unless extra attention is used. They are light, easy and work well. I do have more aggressive straps in the bag but keep coming back to use these.

It’s very well stitched. Bought two several years ago and no sign of issues

One side is stitched to stainless band, the plastic pieces are little wheels to help with pivot and once shut Velcro to secure it.
