Why Did You Choose This?
JOSEPH T
They're great for cutting mono filament.
DANNY M
Need them for cutting fisherman’s lines when they hook and pull me when diving the jetty’s on Long Island N.Y.
JOHN B
Shears are disposable so I’m looking for low cost semi decent quality. At 50% off, who can say no?
JOHN P
I carry a knife but most of the marine parks do not allow them. want to be able to rescue marine life if necessary.
SYLVESTER R
Stainless Steel
LAUREN C
Used similar in the past. Recommended by sales associate over phone.
MANUEL L
VERY functional for Lionfish spines. I carry a pair on every dive.
RAY Z
They work well, and are very inexpensive
STUART P
Very positive reviews, great price and in stock now.
BRAD L
This is for my travel BC, for places which do not allow knives. It should be as good as a knife to cut line or kelp.
GEORGE H O
Liked first set of these I bought a while ago. Buying extra set now mainly to use sheath for folding knife, and I guess I can always use a spare pair of shears.
SARAH B
in expensive and good pair to have on me when needed
Chris M
Instructor informed class these are a necessity to have
MATTHEW M
I need it for the dive team I am apart of.
JOSEPH P
hoping to de fin lion fish
KEVIN D
these are cheap enough to try and see if I like having shears. if they don't work or I need to upgrade I will do so.
MICHAEL W
This is a good tool for underwater entanglement
WAYNE K
Just in case. However, after a few hundred dives, even with rinsing and cleaning it rusted out. Now use other cutters.
Trent R
Need to debur that Lionfish - makes handling them much safer - Why handle them....Lionfish make great eating :)
TERRY H
You can't bring a knife into some Marine Parks but there may still be some fishing line, etc. that has drifted into the area. Shears are a great alternative to a knife for keeping you safe from entanglement undewater.
MICHAEL J M
Needed a cutting tool that could go through security in carry-on.
ROBERT B
Easier to maintian than a dive knife and more effective.
BLAKE B
must have for lake erie fish nets, and some quarries fish lines in sunken trees, and if you want to get rid of bad dive buddies!!just a joke.
ALLEN S
These shears cut line reliably and safely in tight quarters. The best place for the holster is a B.C. strap.
WILLIS R C
Because of the sheath and as part of my cutting tools to avoid entanglement. It will cut some metal fishing leaders. It is an additional safety tool.
KENNETH R
A must have - always within a moment's reach on our BC's. Cuts monofilament and many other potentially fouling lines.
TRAVIS K
Handy little shears. Mine have NEVER rusted after 400-500 dives in both fresh and salt water.
CINDY E
I returned this (don't recall ever getting my refund though). Was much larger than I expected and wanted.
