Um, It's a *weight* belt....

By Been w.

Take off a pound of lead if the buckle is too heavy! Why not put a bit of the weight to work, holding the silly thing closed? Were you hoping for titanium? It costs 10x as much and makes no sense at all! (I'm sure it will be available soon. ;-)

Questions & Answers

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Answers differ from LP on how long this belt is. Title says 58 inches, answers to the length question say 48". Which is correct length; 48" or 58"?
DENNIS V  The weight belt is 58" long.
Shopper  How and what kinds of weights do you use for this belt?
DARRELL B  Well, they use lead weights that have two slits in them so the belt can slip through them. They also make weight pockets that can be slid on to the belt, that way you can use regular lead weights or soft weights. If you take scuba class they will probably show you how to use it. Good luck@
RICHARD A  Any weights that have two slits in them. So you can pass the weights trough them. I have a couple weights. Ranging from 2-5lbs. Depending how I feel and how deep I want to go.
Steve S  You will need hard weights such as these: http://www.leisurepro.com/p-aqulwc/sea-pearls-black-vinyl-coated-lead-weights
DOUGLAS H  I use coated, solid weights such as these found on Leisure Pro: http://www.leisurepro.com/p-aqulwc/sea-pearls-black-vinyl-coated-lead-weights. You could also use an uncoated weight or lead shot type weights with a pouch that slides onto the belt. Solid weights simply thread onto the belt using the slots in the weights. I do not use a belt like this for routine scuba diving. I use it for assisting with scuba instruction. Routinely, for my own recreational diving, I use a buoyancy compensator with an integrated weight system.
