Great first BC

By MARK B.

 -  Key West, FL, US

Great BC for a first purchase. It?s their entry model and it is better than I expected. Nice large pockets, tank mount easily, and it?s a comfortable wear. I like being able to remove the inflater to rinse the BC after a dive. I?m 6? 200 pounds and I bought a large. They run a bit big and had I bought a medium it would have fit perfect.

Great BC for recreational diver.

I trained with this BC. I really enjoy it. I feel like it is simpler with plenty of features to secure your items while diving. Sizing chart is quite accurate.

Questions & Answers

Questions about this item:

John F  I am 5'6" weigh 160 what size do I need?
JOE S  There is a size chart in the specs section of this BC listing. It is measured by waist size and torso length. It's difficult to size based on weight and total height.
MICHAEL S  You need a small
DEWITT H  Best Answer: I'd suggest a medium. Keep in mind, this does not have integrated weight pockets. I use a weight belt, but it's a pain. I tried putting the weights in the large pockets, but they only close with velcro and I've had things fall out and have lost them. BRYAN This is exactly what I would tell you. It is great for a resort style dive bcd. Pay a little more now so you won't have to upgrade soon after
DAVID C  Medium is good , I like a weight belt because I can remove the weights easily to get on the boat. Also easier to ditch in an emergency.
Anders C  I would get the size S. Will fit great I think. I'm 5'9, 170 and bought the MD and was a bit loose for me. My wife had the S and I could perfectly fit and dive on it.
JIM D  John, I'm 5' 10" 175 and purchased a Medium. It's a big on me, the Velcro strap is all the way closed and wish I could make a bit snugger. I would try a small. Jim
BRYCE B  I am 6’ and 180lbs and wear a medium. It is still pretty loose too. These run large in my opinion.
BRYAN M  I'd suggest a medium. Keep in mind, this does not have integrated weight pockets. I use a weight belt, but it's a pain. I tried putting the weights in the large pockets, but they only close with velcro and I've had things fall out and have lost them.
JOHN T  Size ?????????????
Mario C  please refer to the size chart at the manufacturer page.. we will be fixing our size chart shorty. https://www.zeagle.com/products-repository/bcds/products/base sorry for the incorrect size chart, thank you!
LARRY W  I currently use a Sea Quest M/L. Cummerbund measures 44" I have nearly out grown it. My abdominal measurement is 41", Height 5'11" weight 200. Would the large be a good fit?
REBECCA CLARK T  I am 5'11" and weigh 195 lbs. I bought the large size this year. It feels comfortable when I use the Velcro midway around the waist and cinch the waist belt and shoulder straps down fully. It would likely be comfortable for larger guys as well as there is plenty of cinch.
JEREMY C  I originally ordered a large and it was too small so I exchanged it for an XL and that was too big. My waist is 38 and I am 246lbs. I’m sticking with the XL for now.
ERIK B  They run big. I suggest an XL for someone your size...
JOE S  if there is a question on sizing, you can go to Zeagle.com and check out the sizing chart that is on each individual bc page.
BRYCE B  I will second that theses run big. I normally wear a large and ordered a large. Returned it for a medium that is still a bit big. I am 6’ and 180 lbs for reference. Have dove with the bc for several trip and it performs fine.
JOSUE V  No, I believe you should purchase an XL. As I am 5'09" and I am close to an Xl.
MICHAEL S  Sorry my friend I think these are seconds or irregular size. I wear a large and ordered a large and it has to be a xtra large. You get what you pay for. I would never buy from them again.
JOSEPH L  does this come with the inflator hose?
JOE S  Yes. It will come with a power inflator hose to connect to the regulator.
TYRA W  Yes
GABE A  Yes it comes with an inflator hose. Its the standard rubber one, not a flex hose.
BRIAN K  Yes, mine did.
THOMAS P  Yes it comes with inflator hose
david l  Where does the weights go in this BCD?
ROSS R  Weights do not go in the BCD. The weights go in/on your weight belt.
REBECCA CLARK T  There are no designated pouches for weights, but the large front pockets have strong velcro covers. You could put weights inside with no problem. Just be aware that the weights would be able to shift around a few inches inside the pockets.
JIM D  The BC has two front Velcro pockets to put additional weight in if needed.
JOE S  on a weight belt around your waist. It is not a weight integrated bc.
ERIK B  In the pockets...
