XS Scuba 2MM Tropic Beanie

By Chuck B.

Very comfortable.

Excellent for cooler water

By JAQUELIN P.

Love this beanie. Most comfortable I've found. Like the wider chin strap.

You lose a lot of heat from your head, even when diving in warm water. Keep your head protected from cold and from the sun when diving. Even if you don't like a standard hood because it feels so restrictive this 2mm Neoprene Rubber Tropic Bennie will keep you warm and protected from the harsh rays of the sun when enjoying the water.

Tropic Beanie is also popular with those who enjoy underwater hockey for cushion from injury and keeps their hair from getting in the way. Whatever your needs the flat-lock construction for durability, great fit, with comfortable easy to adjust chin strap you won't even know you're wearing it. Beanie is available in multiple sizes.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  IS this cover worth ? I Have mildew and cant drip a single water drop in my ears. I looking for  something to prevent even air . If anyone would recommend me any product  for a full water proof gadget i would be greatfull.
Mario C  Hello, this is not what you are looking for. I do not know anything short of a diving helmet and drysuit combination ( astronaut version of diving- many months and thousands of dollars worth) that would solve the not a drop of water part of your question- one know brand of those helmets is kirby morgan https://www.kirbymorgan.com/. An alternative is the mask bellow with ear cups. In order to have completely dry, a good seal around the ears is a must ( not always easy for people with hair...). link below.. call in we may have a better choice if we know the intended use and more.... hope it helps
Shopper  I am 24" head and 17.5"neck which size should I buy?
TANYA M  Since the strap goes under your chin, the size of your neck shouldn't matter. When I measure around my head (from under my chin) my head is about 24.5" - I think this size will work well for you, because it was just a bit tight on me. Good luck and happy diving!
GAIL H  I should have bought a small instead of extra small, it's a bit tight. My head circumference is 21". You do want it to be a bit smug in the water. Hope this helps.
ROBERT C  I think I bought an XL fits fine I have lots of hair. Prob a L will do
Shopper  I would like a swimming cap skull type , is this cap the right one ?
JAMES M  Great little cap!
EMILY G  This is not a plastic swim cap, but it is a thin neoprene cap. I love mine.
WILLIAM V E  It depends. If you simply want to keep your head warm and/or control your hair (if yours is long), then this is great. I use it for scuba diving. On the other hand, if you are doing competitive swimming, then you might want something that is more slick and doesn't have the neck strap.
GARRY D  This is the one I like best! I use it when diving and have added a small slit in the back to release any bubbles that get inside....
Shopper  Will this beanie fit a head size ~ 22 inches diameter?
BRADFORD G S  Yes it should
LOUISE A  My head measures 22 inches and it fits fine.
Shopper  Are there ventilation holes on top?
TANYA M  No
NELL V  No, there isn't any holes on top. The chin straps holds it in place well. Order this cap a size smaller than you usually wear. There is a lot of stretch.
GARRY D  No! But I added a small (1 inch) slit and it works great. Best way to be comfortable on those cool night dives!
CLINT F  No. Air does collect in it and I have thought about putting in a couple holes myself.
LOUISE A  No, but I simply added them myself with a pair of cuticle scissors.
Mel S  No vent holes but very good hood use it when I want something lite
JOHN M  No there are no ventalation holes on this beanie. Sizes run small as well...FYI.
ANNE T  There are no ventilation holes on the top of the beanie.
CATHY D  no, but since it does not cover as much of your head as a regular hood you don't really need a vent, imho
LAWRENCE B  No ventilation holes on top. Just being a cap though trapped air doesn't seem to be as big an issue as it can be with a full hood.
SHAWN L  I have not had a problem with air build-up in the beanie....ever! I do think there is a venting system but I am not near the beanie right now. I really like mine and have used it for over 75 dives.
Robert S  No holes, I was able to make my own with a hot nail.
WILLIAM V E  No, but I have not found that I need them. The beanie does not seem to be as prone as a regular hood to getting exhaust bubbles trapped inside.
DAVID K  No holes. It has a solid top.
MONICA V  No ventilation holes on top. It can get warm, but I also find this a plus when you want to skip a wetsuit.
ALEX L  Nope
DALE R  No There are no ventilation holes on top and they are not necessary.
