GREAT KNIFE!!

By SUSAN M.

This is a REALLY great knife at a super price. No matter if you're wearing gloves or not, it's easy to disengage this knife from the sheath with one hand. LOVE IT! Thanks Leisurepro!

Possibly the best dive knife made.

By E J.

This knife is top-of-the-line in every way. From the well-designed titanium blade to the low-profile handle and the simple, intuitive, safe and secure sheath lock, you just can't find anything better. There are a few things not everyone will like, though: First, it ain't cheap. Second, to keep the small size, the fingerguard is minimal, increasing the risk of slipping towards the blade. For the same reason, the grip is flat and relatively smooth, not chunky and grippy like a larger knife. ...

The Aqualung Wenoka series of knives offers divers the perfect knife accessory. The time proven and sought after patented Squeeze Lock design allows the user to securely lock the knife in its sheath and allows for easy release with a squeeze of the handle. The knife offers a variety of color and mounting options and can easily be mounted to the left pocket of most Aqualung BC's. Wenoka Dive Knives have been serving the industry for over three decades and counting. The Wenoka Big Squeeze is no exception to this tried-and-true line of diving accessories, with a 4.5" (11.4cm) high grade Beta Alloy Titanium lightweight blade with line cutter and an overall length of 9.5" (24.1cm) the Big Squeeze is the serious diver's tool. A knife like this you don't want to lose, so Wenoka's patented Big-Squeeze -Lock, Locking Mechanism securely locks your knife in its sheath, but releases with a squeeze of the handle.

With a Tanto point tip, the knife allows variable mounting options with a molded belt clip on the impact resistant plastic sheath that comes with rubber leg straps. The positive grip handle is equipped with a hole for attachment of a wrist lanyard. The knife blade has one side with alternate hollow ground serration edge. The knife is without a doubt a diver's tool. Knife comes in multiple colors.

Questions & Answers

Questions about this item:

MIKE M  How long is the blade on this Ttanium knife?
JAMES B  5 inches
Mike M  How long is the blade?
JAMES B  6 inches
Todd E  Is the TONTO tip sharp or is it dull like a BLUNT tip? Does the Big Squeeze exist as a "titanium BLUNT tip?" or do I have to buy the TONTO blade and then make it dull on my own? (so I don't stab myself)
Steve S  The tanto edge is flat, but sharp.
MATTHEW S  The tanto tip is meant to be sharp, definitely has an edge to it and is not at all a safety/pry bar blunt tip. However, it is not as sharp as the straight-edge blade and could be easily blunted, but not really useful to pry with. Five years in, still relying on my Wenoka, I have a blunt-tip BC knife to use as a tool
JOSHUA R  Definitely sharp. I'm pretty sure you can find it in a blunt also if that's what you prefer
DOMENICK V  All three edges of the knife are sharp, the serrated edge, the non-serrated edge, and the tip. In an emergency situation you grab the knife and slash or stab. It doesn't matter which way you hold the knife and it doesn't matter which way you slash, you be be presenting a sharp edge. Great for freeing your self from entangling lines and/or vegetation. I love this knife and I do not use it for general usage. It is my rescue knife and stays in the sheath. I've only pulled it once when a 1000 pound stellar sea lion became envious of my fish, but I did not need it. I have another, smaller knife I use for general purpose and would not be too dismayed if it was broken or damaged. If you are afraid of stabbing yourself perhaps you shouldn't play with sharp objects. :) D
BRUCE P  The knife I purchased back in 2010 was sharp on the end. And the tip definitely was sharp. Never had a problem stabbing my self with it because the sheath works well and is easy to use.
WARREN S  The tanto tip is quite sharp and pointy. It is sharpened along with the rest of the straight knife blade.
Shopper  is this double bladed?
BRUCE P  The one I received was not.
BLAIR W  The Wenoka Big Squeeze Lock Titanium Knife, Tanto Tip is a double edged knife. It has a single blade, but both edges of the blade are sharpened.
JOE G  Yes. Serrated blade on back side, normal blade on the other and on the tanto tip.
STEVEN P  Base and tip are both sharpened. The back of the blade has a serrated edge that is useful for sawing. Best dive knife I have ever owned.
STEVEN L  Yes. Straight edge on one side and serrated edge and line cutter on the other. It has a very secure sheath as well.
MIYUKI S  Yes it has a smooth edge and a serrated edge along with a line cutter.
Shopper  how do I rig the straps?
CHRISTOPHER S  I didn't use the straps. I wanted to connect to the D rings on my BC using zip ties.
GORDON B  Remove the female end of the plactic locking clip from the strap, insert the strap through the opening on the back of the plactic sheath and then easily reattach the female end of the locking clip. Cut the strap to desired length.
