Only size for me.

By JENIFER B.

Perfect size for people who are, well, who like to eat.

Very nice. Highly recommended.

By Robert B.

I just got back from a trip where I used the Pinnacle Escape 5 mm short sleeve shorty men’s wetsuit. I like it very much. It is easy to get on and off. I do not need someone to help me with a zipper up the back as is the case with most wetsuits. It fits me well. I am 250 lbs, 6’4” tall, 45 inch waist, and 48 inch chest. I ordered the 4XL size and it was the right size. The wetsuit was tall enough for me. I always have a camera with me. I was worried that if the suit was not tall enou...

Questions & Answers

Questions about this item:

MANNY M  Does the  Pinnacle Escape 5mm Short Sleeve Shorty Men's fit the same as the Pinnacle Spirit 3mm short sleeve Shorty?
PETER S  I only own the 5mm shorty but would assume so. I use it over my 3mil suit for water below 65°. At 65°, I'm hot and have to open the zipper to let cold water in.
Aaron F  Is this stretch material?
LYNN J  Yes this material stretches. I bought this wetsuit for my son who is quite round in the middle. It stretches well and fits him fine.
JOE F  Mine is 3mm neoprene. it stretches the same as any 3mm or 5mm wet-suit would. I am a bit wider than most so I really like the King sizes Pinnacle offers that others do not. In other suits i have to go 3XL or 4XL and they say I should be 6' 7" tall. I wish, but sadly i am not.
MARK C  I believe it is neoprene. If you buy it you can return it if it is not the right size. I LOVE mine..just used it to swim in the Rhode Island Ocean 10/2017.
RYAN R  It is made of standard wet-suit neoprene type material, yes
ART R  Hi Aaron. I'm not quite clear on your question. It is a neoprene suit of course which gives it some stretch. I returned it because the fit wasn't good for me. Obviously I had received it and tried it on so I can vouch for it being as flexible as my other wet suits. Hope I helped.
VINCENT V  The material seems to be fairly normal neoprene.
CARLTON P  What is the positive buoyancy of this wetsuit?
CARLTON D  I had to add another 5 lbs.
JOE F  I wear the King 1 which fits me great. I am short and wide at 5'9" and 275 lbs. I dive with 12 lbs in fresh water, 18 to 20 lbs open ocean and 24 lbs Gulf-side of FL. I do not have to adjust weight based on my shorty vs a rashgard. I would say the buoyancy variation in imperceptible.
PAVEL M  2-3 lb
Shopper  will a 5MM shortie over a 5mm one piece be sufficent exposure protection in 45 degree water?
DREW S  If one normally wears a 5mm step in jacket for the tropics, I personally wouldn't go into 45 degrees without at least a 7mm one piece. I think your arms and legs will get cold by the end of the dive,
AMNON F  I am a divemaster and I use the 5mm (by itself) only in the pool. Personally, I would not do that, or even use a wet suit in 45 degrees. Only dry suit, or at least a semi dry. And if I may add, make sure your regulator is suitable for cold water and will not freeze-up.
JEFF J  I used the Pinnacle over a 4/3 one-piece with 3mm hooded vest for freedive spearfishing in Washington State. Temps here range between 46 in winter and 54 in summer. I wore the Pinnacle in winter and was able to stay in the water for 3 to 4 hours before I got too uncomfortable. I now have a 5mm two-piece open-cell freedive suit so I haven't had to use the Pinnacle recently.
AARON O  For a short period. Probably 20 minutes with hood neoprene gloves and pouring hot water down your suit.
MAYRA R  Yes, only with a hood, and if it us a hoddie one piece shortie.
TODD R  I wear it over a 3mm Marino lined full suite, I've been in 42 degree water it's a little chilly but easily doable
JAMES H  no u should probably look at dry suits
RYAN N  I vote no. Of course it depends on length of time in water, your general tolerance for cold and your tolerance for diving in a goodyear tire (5mm on 5mm is very limiting imo)
Shopper  I need to know what sizes these fit for both men and women. Also, we are wearing these alone and over a 3mm suit. Any idea how to find out what size to purchase?
DON S  I am 5'6 with 31in waist and 150 lbs, 38in chest and size Med per sizing chart was too small except legs and arms.
RYAN T  I wear mine over a 3mill full suit and it fits perfect being one size larger than the other. I am a 6ft male, 240 lbs. My 3 mill full is a 3x and the jackect is 4x.
JEFF J  I googled "pinnacle wetsuit size chart" to determine which size to buy. I am 5'10", 190 pounds, 34" waist, and the large fits fine. During summer I wear a 3mm vest with attached 5mm hood under a 5/4/3 one-piece suit. During winter I add the 5mm step-in vest over the top. Water temp here (Pacific NW) is between 35 and 50 degrees. Without the step-in, I need 9 pounds on the weight belt. When I add the step-in, I need 12 pounds. I've never worn the step-in by itself. The material is very stretchy and easy to put on over the other suit.
