I read the reviews before I bought this pole spear for my vacation and leisure pro told me that the tip was improved and I would not have any problems. They were right and I did not have any issues. It's a good product for the money and I have other products from this brand that I like a lot.

Cheap and effective. The pentium tip will eventually splay, but fish do not get off it easily. In fact if I had a knock on it, the five point tip tends to rip them up good getting the fish off. I use it for lionfish and have had much success even with larger fish up over 12 inches.
The Cressi Aluminum Pole Spear is the perfect solution for traveling hunters. Threaded lightweight sections breakdown to fit in a typical dive bag and can be quickly assembled once at the dive site. Included with the pole spear is a five-prong Lionfish cluster tip and high-quality power band. Other tips are available. The pole spear has thick walled aluminum construction for strength and durability. Pole spear comes with a protective tip cap. The three-section design not only makes for compact storage, but also allows you to select multiple lengths of spear use depending on dive conditions and your quarry. Use as a short 26.4" (62cm) power band section with tip for lionfish hunting. Increase the length by adding the second 26.4" (62cm) section with tip for low visibility and hunting in tight spaces and under reefs and rocks. For full length of 6.5' (2m) add the short 19.45" (50cm) section with tip for open water and clear condition hunting.
This product can only be shipped to U.S. addresses.

What size is the tip threading for this pole spear? Is it 6mm? Are there any tips otehr than the cressi paralyzer tip that I can use? For instance a single barb.
Mario C
6mm . 11mm if using it using it without all 3 pieces. Below is the cressi adapter for turning it into a 6mm thread.

Hi, does LeisurePro sell replacement tips? What other tips will work on this? Thanks!
Mario C
Hi Michael,
it is an 11mm tip i am adding below the adapter from Cressi to turn it into 6mm.
Mario C
yes we do. tip on the link below. I do believe that is a custom size not the standard 6mm or 7mm.
Cressi may be able to confirm that.. right working away from store i dont remember exactly.

Will a 3 prong tip work?
Juan L
It’ll work , but make sure you get a heavy duty tip, I’ve changed mine a couple of times , they bend or fall off
Mike T
Hi Kevin,
Yes a 3 prong tip will work if it has a 6mm thread.
Andrew R
Yeah, tips are all interchangeable with the spear. Just be sure to get the right size male/female end

What adaptor is needed to make it a 2 piece? I read a review saying "you'll need an adaptor if you decide to use it in a shorter configuration for example " and I don´t know if it is from 7 mm to 6mm or 6 mm to 7mm
Andrew R
it's just a small male/female piece about an inch a half long. It attaches to the spear, where the two spear pieces connect to make one long spear, and allows you to attach a spear tip to half of the shaft. So wallah, you have a shorter spear. The spear Male threaded end is probably 8 or 10mm, and may need to be necked down to 6mm for a smaller spear head.
