Went to Fiji in Sept to go scuba diving with a 3mm full wetsuit and wore the NeoSport pant along with a 1.5mm top underneath -- was perfectly warm for the trip. Made getting my wetsuit on easier and the NeoSport pant was so comfortable, I wore it into the pool with my bathing suit top. I wear a women's 16 pant size and ordered the XL which fit just fine, but would recommend the L if closer to a size 14 (I'm 5'5", waist 38", 190-lb). When worn under an exposure suit it will increase heat retention by slowing down water exchange and adding an additional thermal barrier layer.

The XSPAN 1.5mm Shorts can also be used as a standalone water sports garment when minimal thermal protection is required or protection from sun and critters are an issue. Either way the XSPAN Short will do the job and more. When worn under an exposure suit the flat lock stitched seams create a smooth interior and exterior for added comfort and durability. To properly secure the XSPAN 1.5mm Shorts they come equipped with an off centered barrel lock cinch shock cord waist band. Shopper  Hello! I'm interested in this shorts but i'm a petite woman (about 5 feet tall, 110 lbs) and i'm not sure if the XS would still be too large or not. The size chart appears to be only men's sizes. Any insight on if these shorts might fit or if they will be hopelessly large? thanks!
WILLIAM F H  I got a pair and they were sized correct. Get the smallest size, and it doesn't fit, they will make an exchange easy.

DOTTIE H  I looked at the size chart, so I see your concern, but we gals will have smaller waists and larger hips than the guys so we fit differently than the size chart suggests.
DOTTIE H  No, I don't think an extra small will be too large for you. I am a 10-12 and have a medium, I think. If you are a 6-8, the xsmall should be fine
GIL G  can is use to swim in pool?
PEGGY D  I wear the shorts in the pool, they are not stiff- just provide extra warmth. Movement is not restricted.

SCOTT A  They are great, really help keep me warm. Add the top, and you can add a warmth layer, without having to add a lot of weight
ROSE S B  I have used this paddle shorts scuba diving and after doing so we always soak in our hot tub to warm up our core. But, I cannot confirm I have done so more than twice. However, if you are concerned with them being affected by the chlorine, mine has not so far. Hopes this helps you out. We will be going to Grand Cayman at the end of this month till end of December, Since it is winter down there now, I will be using the paddle shorts diving and in the hot tub. Will certainly post a new report if the shorts do start to be affected in any way.

DOTTIE H  I don't see why not. Just be aware that chlorine may degrade neoprene after time just as it does with your swimsuits. Make sure that you rinse the shorts with water well after getting out of the pool and line dry.
GIL G  Can you suggest something for the upper body that covers the arms that would keep the upper body warm?
