perfect

By BocaDiver

This literally feels like a glove - there's 1" wide rubber inner lining so it doesn't shift. I could easily use the 4 pocket, but chose the 5 pocket for better weight distribution because of a center pocket. Cinched up all the way, the 5 pocket will accomodate 28". Works best with soft weights.

Nice belt, very comfortable.

By Monterey D.

I dive in very cold water and have to wear a lot of weight (28 lbs.). This belt is very comfortable, doesn't shift when I'm wearing it, doesn't leave bruises on my hip bones, and distributes the weight more evenly...

Questions & Answers

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Can each pocket just hold one weight or can I fit two in each pocket?  If only one, how do you attach more weights to it?  I think I need 7
darrick c  Hello, each pocket is designed to hold 5 pounds. If that is 5 single 1 pound weight or a 5 pound single weight.
BILL H  That really depends on the weights themselves. A single 4lb. weight fills the pocket; the pockets ithemselves are about 4 1/2" X 4". There are gromits on the two front pockets but I would't think you'd want to put weights on them as they would bang against your thighs while diving. I hope this helps-
Lee O  So, since I can't afford a custom spring wetsuit, could I wear this with jus my swimming trunks and short sleeve rash guard?
darrick c  Hello Lee, yes, you can wear this in just swim trunks and rash guard shirt.
Lee O  I am a male and weigh 250lb, with a 38 inch waist and I am going to be snorkeling with a rip curl 1.5mm spring wetsuit. Which belt would be the best option?
darrick c  Hello Lee, if you want some padding around your waist this would be your best choice.
Shopper  Did not see the answer to this-do the weights come with the belt?
Mario C  weights not included
Craig R  No, weights do not come with the belt.
THOMAS B  No, weights are sold separately. The belt is really comfortable especially if you use soft weights.
David R  I bought the belt a few years ago and it is only the belt.
Sandra B  Can you tell me if there is a weight capacity limit? would it tolerate 50 lbs.?
WALTER R  Hi I have a 7 pocket pinnacle weight belt , If you used soft weight packs at 5 pounds each your looking at 35 pounds total, So you would have to get or mould your own 7 pound solid lead weights which would bring you to 49 pounds. I think the pockets might be able to hold 7 pounders as long as they are solid lead. If your over weight you might need suspenders for that weight. I usually ad two 5 pounders to my tank on my back, so that my weight belt isn't to heavy. I hope that helps. I love these weight belts.
ERNEST R  For 50 lbs, you need a weight belt with suspenders. Standard issue for commercial divers.
VLADIMIR M  Although I did not try to load it with 5x10Lb bricks the belt is sturdy and should hold without any problem.
BRUCE R  Each pocket can handle up to 5 pounds, determine correct length belt x 5# / pocket = max capacity
IVAN K  Specification says 7 lbs. per pocket max, so if you went with the 7-pocket version then yes. However, personalty, I would never wear that much on my waist. Suggest using steel tanks, adding weight to the BC or use a weight harness.
LESLEY B  Yes it will with perls
JOHN G  I would recommend using a belt & suspenders system with that much weight.
MICHAEL H  I would not recommend 50lbs in any weight belt. A weight harness would be more appropriate.
