Best tanks carrier on the market

By jetracer

I got one for each of my tanks and they are as solid as they come. I have no idea what the other review was referring to, "plastic rings"? This carrier has 4 stainless D-rings and 2 standard tank cam buckles (the ones that come on a lot of BCD's)which are much stronger than carriers that relies solely on velcro to secure the tank. The only plastic hardware are the snap hooks on the shoulder strap. These snap hooks have stainless swing gates that make them a lot stronger than the plain plast...

Great buy.

Makes carry tanks and gear so much easier.

If you're a tall diver, then you may not have the problem that many divers have when carrying a cylinder by the valve. Their too short! If it is difficult for divers less than 6'3" (190.5cm) to extend their arm when carrying the cylinder by the valve, then this product is what you need.½XS Scuba's Deluxe Tank Carrier fits 6.9" to 8.0" (17.5cm to 20.3cm) diameter cylinders. This deluxe carrier is equipped with hook and loop tank band straps with 2" (5.1cm) D-rings and a rubber molded, side carry handle. If you need the use of your hands when transporting your cylinder, the deluxe carrier also comes with a removable and adjustable padded shoulder strap.

Questions & Answers

Questions about this item:

Shopper  will this fit an aluminum 80 tank that is 24 inches around ?
STUART H  Yes it will
Shopper  Will it fit on a 19 cubic ft tank?
DAVID T P  According to my research, a 19 cubic ft. tank is about 4.5 inches in diameter and when I tried to put my carrier on a 4.5 diameter pipe in my shop, it would not hold. The velcro wouldn't match up.
GREG P  I'm sorry I do not the answer to that. It fits my AL80 tanks great with extra strap length for larger tanks. And they really help while moving tanks around, I only remove them to dive.
KEITH C  I dont think it will, the ay it tightens around the tank is using velcro folded back onto itself thru a buckle. I think the vecro would miss itself due to the smaller diameter. It works great for normal 80's and a 100. For the money you wont regret getting one for your normal tank. And then try it on your pony tank.
ADRIAN M  Not sure. I think it's too large for a 19 cf tank
DAVID K  Hello. I have made use of this strap with my aluminum 80 tank for years. The quality is durable enough to last. I recommend this product for your needs.
W S  Is the picture truly correct? Specifically, does it have metal rings on the straps which go aound the tank? Does it have actual cam buckles to tighten these straps. I bought this from another vendor and it does not have metal rings, nor cam buckles, and depends on Velcro to prevent the tank valve from falling on concrete. If the picture is correct I will buy it from LP
YAN G  New version is velcro, no longer has the metal cam buckles.
Shopper  Is this a set of two? or just one?
JUNE H  This is one kit that will work for one tank.
BRENDA D  one only for one tank
JORGE C  Just one. And worth every cent.
THOMAS T  Just one
DAVID T P  It is a single carrier. The two straps that go around the tank allow you to place them in order to balance the tank. I love mine.
DAVID M  This is for 1 tank carrier. I bought one in May and works great!
ROMAINE W  This item is two tank straps connected together by another piece with a handle on it, the D rings are connected to a shoulder strap, it all came as one item. Look at the picture, tank not included.
DAVID K  Just one carrier/strap.
GREG P  The tank holder comes as pictured "1 set".
LAUREA W  For one tank
LUCAS H  Do you leave these straps on 24/7 or do you take them off to before you dive and then put them on again after?
JORGE C  ON all the time when at home or in the car. OFF when in the boat and when you dive, of course. I only use them to carry my tanks between my car and my apartment, since my parking spot is a little far from my home. That's the only use for them, to help you carry the tanks.
WESLEY K  I would suggest taking the carrier off before diving. Otherwise you could get caught on something.
ROSS G  Remove them - it's easy to take them off and on.
NEIL K  These are carry straps only: You take them off before strapping the tank to your BC.
EDWARD S  I am not a diver. I use the carrier for a 4500psi carbon fiber tank for my PCP Air rifle. Sorry I can't help much. I can tell you it is a great product. Thanks, Ed
BRENDA D  take them off before and after the dive
MEI-HWA F  I personally take off the strap when storing my tanks, but I don't see why you couldn't leave the straps on while you're storing your tanks.
ROMAINE W  Seriously? I use the straps just to transport when needed, though the handle on the tank strap comes in handy in a small boat, the shoulder strap is great when lugging gear a long distance and/or over rough terrain.
DAVID T P  I take mine off. I figure not getting it wet and risk clogging the velcro with debris will just make it last longer. I'm sure it could stand up to the water, just a personal preference. I used it to carry the tank to get it filled and the lady at the dive shop told me great the carrier was especially since I have a heavy steel tank. You won't regret getting one.
SALOME L  I take them off before diving.
MARK Z  They are taken off before diving. It is very easy to do with the Velcro straps. I recommend this product.
DAVID K  The straps come off when you attach it to your BCD. It is simply a shoulder/carry strap with handle for transporting.
