Hose work well!

By Nagurski

Hose works well. Bought in order to route reg under arm.

You have a Hollis Regulator and want the right length hose for your needs. Hollis has you covered with 6-different hose lengths of 22" (55.9cm), 30" (76.2cm), 36" (91.4cm), 40" (101.6cm), 60" (152.4cm) and 84" 213.4 cm). The 36" (91.4cm) is also available in yellow for use with an octopus regulator. Need a short hose for a safety-stop or stage bottle? Maybe your primary regulator hose seems too short or too long, Hollis has the hose you need. The Hollis Low Pressure (LP) Hose is a durable braided with rubber jacket hose design. Hose has corrosion resistant chrome plated brass fittings with a standard 3/8" male threaded end for attachment to your first stage regulators LP port.

This product can only be shipped to U.S. addresses.

Questions & Answers

Questions about this item:

Earl A  Divers Alert Network (DAN)reported in 2017 that flex hoses with a central tube made of thermoplastic polyester-polyurethane (polyester-TPU) are prone to failure due to crystalization of the tube material. The inner tube itself breaks apart into small pieces and can clog the regulator's second stage. According to DAN, hoses made with a thermoplastic polyether-polyurethane (polyether-TPU) did not fail. Precipitating causes were exposure to normal outfoor summer heat and high humidity. What are these hoses made of?
ELIZABETH B  Please contact Hollis or Leisure Pro. There is no way for an ordinary user to know an answer like this. If you are unsure, then purchase another brand. Mine is used on my octopus, so I'm not worried.
Ilya T  Hi, I saw this DAN alert. I have no idea about material these hoses are made. I have it since 2016 and apparently there are ok (I'm diving only in warm waters).
DAN S  This is a standard rubber hose and is a good hose. Not because its a Hollis. Most dive companies dont even manufacture hoses. Its cheaper for them to buy so they get them from other companies who actually make the hoses. There are some cheap low quality hoses out there so sticking with a name brand will usually keep you away from the garbage hoses. With that said, there is nothing wrong with flex/braided hoses either. Every hose is subject to the environment and conditions you expose them too. Such as the crystalizing issue with flex/braided hoses. That occurs when its exposed to hot temperatures such as being in the sun or left inside a hot vehicle or truck bed. This will deteriorate any hose and should be avoided. You should also be checking your hoses regularly for soft spots, bulges, cracking in the exterior coating, fraying, etc. and replace them as needed. Your equipment is only as good as you treat it.
Earl A  I have to apologize for my question being here. Of course this is a regular LP hose. I intended my question to go to the Hollis LP "Maxflex" hose Leisure Pro sells. I wrote my question off line and copied it to the wrong item. I will repost it there but I cannot figure out how to get it off this item. If you folks at Leisure Pro are monitoring this, take my Q off here. Nevertheless, it is a legitimate question to ask about braided flex hoses. Sellers are aware of the controversy and should know the answer about their products.
JORGE A  Hi, good afternoon, do you have the hose yellow in 86 inch? Thanks
KEVIN F  We do not sell an 86" hose. We sell this hose in 84" length, available in Black only. The MiFlex Low Pressure Hose is available in 84" length and the color yellow.
Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
THOMAS B  Needed a new long hose
TOM M  This hose transfers air between the 1st and 2nd stage regulator and is black.
KEVIN H  New regulator, i don't like the short hoses that come standard.
Rocco D  Because mine was starting to get pinholes in it.
