Convenient, you can record everything

By EvanL

Has all the boxes to enter everything about the dive - bottom time, depth, temp, weights, conditions, your gear and dive attire, decompression limits and lets you add up your total dive time. Lots of room to record your observations, comments and reminders for future reference. I used to use loose leaf pages but needed a large zipper filed holder. With this, it is more compact. Extra pages for DAN (and their phone #) and recording other info.

Good overall Log Book!

By mg

I like this log book setup that PADI has. Has the fields that you need without a ton of stuff that you don't. I would sometimes prefer a little more space for comments but most of the time it's plenty of space. The new version has a space for more information on gases as well as multiple tanks for tech diving. Older versions didn't have that.

Wherever you go diving you need to have proof of diving experience. Without it you can be left behind on more experienced dives when you are qualified to make them. Make sure you log all your dives and carry your log book when on a diving vacation. The standard PADI paper backed logbook, Red is just for logging dives Your Logbook is proof positive that you are qualified to make those adventure dives come true. Log Book measures 6" x 8" (15 x 20.3 cm) and is 3-Hole Punched to fit in 3-Ring Binders.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  How many dives can be logged in this red PADI book?
RICHARD H  Sixty dives
KANTON R  The pages aren't numbered but by my count approximately 60 dives can be logged in this book.
JAMES L  Hi, we have 2009 and 2011 editions of the PADI Logs. They both contain enough pages for 60 dive entries. Happy Diving, Jim
bert l  Thanks, James. What is the difference between the 2009 and 2011 editions? Any significant differences or just editorial updates??
JAMES L  Hi Bert, There are just a few minor changes to the 2011 edition. They added a few lines for rebreather gas types and %. No big deal but just enough to be annoying...again. I think I'm going to start using the Divepal app on my IPad. That way I won't have to worry about running out of logbook pages or getting them wet. Jim
LEIGH B  60
KEVIN T  59 -plenty for a couple of trips !
HAROLD S  60 dives can be logged, each on its own page.
DAVID W  60 dives
Shopper  are the red book pages nitrox compatable? or will I need the inserts?
JAMES L  Hi, The 2009 version of the PADI logbook does have a line for "Enriched Air Dive Blend%". But the 2011 edition dropped that line and now has 3 lines for mixed air, using an open circuit or rebreather. We dive Nitrox as well and just use the line for "Open-circuit or rebreather diluent: Air/EANx. %". Hope this helps, Jim
LeisurePro S  Need inserts
Shopper  How many pages are in the red book? Do you have loose pages that are also 5 1/2 x 8 by PADI?
LeisurePro S  I believe its 50 logs. We do you have loose pages PADI Adventure Log Refill Pages
Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
BRIAN S  Met needs
JAMES J  Because I needed to log more dives. I've used this format for years.
DAN B  I'm running out of open entries in my 5th log book. I want continue with the same format as what I have. I like the "paper" log despite online logging is available.
FRITZ B  I like them and have been using them for many years. They are too expensive, but they are easy to store and fit nicely into my 3-ring binder with C-Card and pen holders.
DAN B  I've already filled 3 of these and want the same format as the other 3.
VINCENT K  Very easy to use and contains all the needed information for recording recreational dive.
ALAN C  Have use to log my dives from 1 to 510+. Good page layout for data. Better than separate pages. Just the correct size book and they can be stowed in the dive binders.
MARYANN E  Inexpensive log book. Works for our needs. Don't need anything extravagant to log dives in.
