works good

By Drew

It is just what any diver could need for the price. If you cant afford a computer yet this will do just fine till then. Pluss it is small enough to not get in the way and big enough to read. I highly recomend this product untill you can get a computer. I used this for three years and never failed me once.

Excellent Console

By Ron

Greay Console. I put my Oceanic computer module from my old console in the new one and added a quick disconnect. Absolutely love it!

Oceanic's Max-Depth SWIV Combo Console has a submersible pressure gauge and depth gauge in a durable impact resistant boot with a high-pressure hose. The pressure gauge has 0 to 5,000 psi readout with a safety reserve 500 psi color-coded in red to allow the diver to know that they are low on air. The impact-resistant boot has multiple eyelets for attachment of a clip or lanyard to keep the gauge close at hand and from dragging over the environment. The pressure gauge has a shock resistant bourdon tube mechanism and is equipped with a double Kevlar braided high-pressure hose with triple chrome plated marine brass fittings with 7/8" threaded end. Hose has a 360° swivel end for easy use. The pressure gauge is also equipped with a temperature gauge. Both the pressure and temperature gauge needles tips are colored bright red for easy reading.

The depth gauge is equipped with maximum depth Indicator needle which will mark your deepest depth reached on a dive. This feature is helpful when logging dive information providing key information for repetitive dives. Depth gauge is color-coded for easy and safe reading at a glance. The depth gauge has a 0' to 200' readout, with safety red color-coded indicators from 0' to 30' and at depths beyond the sport diving limits from 130' to 200'.

The air-filled diaphragm design of the Oceanic Max-Depth Gauge allows an expanded shallow scale for better readability at sport diving depths. Both the pressure and depth gauges have Oceanic's OceanGlo luminous displays that absorbs light seven times faster and longer than other glow-in-the-dark materials, to enhance the readability of the Max-Depth Gauge's. SWIV Combo Gauge comes with an owner's manual.

Q&A

Questions & Answers

Questions about this item:

BART N  Does this gauge come with hose? If not, what hose is recommended
JEFF M  HP 7/8 threaded hose included
LINDA B  It comes with a hose
ROD H  Yes, it comes with a hose which connects to a high pressure port on the 1st stage of your regulator.
MILA B  It did for me, but that was years ago.
ALANNA H  Yes it comes with a hose
SCOTT P  Yes it does
TONY T  Yes it comes with a hose.
GEORGE S  What compass will fit this guage. And is it something I could install?
GORDON K  I rigged a wrist compass to go in this combo after removing the depth guage. I bought the rig for the pressure guage. It was fiddly and I had to put packing around it.
DOUGLAS B  HI, I did not install any compass, because I use wrist compass but, if you read the review (see below) you will find that SWIV compass module will fit hope that this will help you While I bought this as a "redundant" pressure gauge for my hoseless wrist computer, it would serve the purpose of being your everyday console if you dive eRDPML or still use tables. Good, solid craftsmanship throughout with the SWIV feature being its top selling point. No more twisted hoses. I checked with OCEANIC and the new SWIV Compass Module will fit the empty spot under the back cover insert - the only issue is that it's nearly impossble to remove, but at least once the compass is in place it shouldn't ever pop out accidentally..!
LESTER P  Any standard diameter compass will fit and yes, you can install it. It's just snugly fit into the silicone housing.
CRAIG E  Which Oceanic Compass "Module" will fit the Maxdepth Combo SWIV Double Gauge..?
WILLIAM C  I would use a stand alone compass. The reason being, the compass works on magnetic fields. Just being to close to another analog instrument can sku the reading on the compass. I have a compass on my Galileo Dive Computer but use a stand alone compass, I have noticed a difference of up to 5 degrees difference between the two. That is enough to put you either back under your boat or 50 yards away. Redundancy is the key, when your life is dependent on that Pepsi Can on your back. I've been told I carry to much on my dives, but if anything goes wrong I have the ability to make it back alive. Maybe the other guy will too, I pray he/she does, but s/he will have a life threatening emergency to deal with, I will not.
DEREK O  I just installed the swiv compass http://www.leisurepro.com/Prod/OCNSWCM.html into the swiv console. It would be easier if the instructions were better, but it fits like a glove and looks perfect.
Monica s  You cannot put just a module module within this console, what you can do is purchase the hose mount that SKU is OCNVTCH.
Shopper  Will a Veo 2.0 fit in this console?
Johnny L  sorry ,, i don't know , the veo 180 or 200 fit
MARK B  I do not know ,I use it as a back up for my oceanic vt3 computer while cenote diving
LESTER P  Yes it will. Oceanic uses universal dimensions among its gauges and computers.
Shopper  Is this available in Metric units as well?
LeisurePro S  Not this particular model. If you type 'metric' into the search box at the top of the site, all of our metric gauges will appear.
