I am amazed at how stretchy this hooded vest is, compared to my old school vests. You may want to try sizing down a size due to its "stretchyness", but it is very comfortable and easy to don/duff.

As I started getting older I found I got chilled easier as I went diving, even while wearing a full 3mm wetsuit in the 80 degree Caribbean. I needed a little extra insulation without stepping up to a cumbersome 7mm suit. This vest was the perfect solution. I wore it on over my 3mm wetsuit. It gave me the extra warmth without the extra bulk.
The size chart was actually fairly accurate. A large worked fine for me (5' 11", 165 lbs).

what is the difference between Henderson's Thermoprene and Henderson's XSport foam neoprene material?

Hello Don, the Thermoprene material is made of a 75% stretch material and helps reflect the heat back to your body better. The Xspan is made out of 100% stretch material not warmth factored to this material.

The torso is 3mm and the hood is 5mm. This is a nice product for the price point. I got years of use out of mine. Probably 600-700 dives. Just recently got rid of it after my last dive trip in January as the neoprene in the torso felt more like 1mm rather than 3mm after so much use (normal).

I am 6' 200lb with 36" Waist and the large is great... I think if you went XL the length would be correct but it may be loose around your chest and stomach.. hope that helps.

This product is just the hood and vest. It is a great product if you dive in quarries or colder water, this product is a must. My wife and I both have and use them.

Yes but it doesn't feel as thick as my other 5mm hood. However compared to hood alone, this is 100% warmer as no water creeps in from neck area. I love it.
