JIM A  hello Thomas the truth is i returned this snorkel after 1 use, it completely malfunctioned. airway closed and didn't open when sealing mechanism stuck. i have to believe it was an oddball occurance, can't believe Mares would design something so poorly. i ended up with an Atomic(good previous experience with this brand), more $$ but works great. good luck whatever you end up with
DOUGLAS C  Yes. The plastic keeper clips over your mask strap. The part that goes around the snorkel is open on one side and can be stretched to remove it from the snorkel completely.
KATY B  I am assuming that you are asking about the clip that you attach to your mask, yes it can be removed and you can move it up and down slightly. I hope that helps.
TUNGAN H  Yes, the keeper detaches. One problem to know is the valve at the top sometimes jams shut and makes it impossible to take a breath unless you blow it clear. We had to keep it permanently open with a rubber band. A normal, straight through snorkel is better. A valve at the bottom is OK.

ROBERT L  I liked the idea of the downward pointing water drain. It has a swiveling mask strap clip. The mouthpiece has an angle to it, It is dry and the lower tube is very flexible.
