You are in a dark place and some beast pulls your reg out of your mouth...ok so it was the witless fin of a buddy.....no panic here it is bobbing at your chin. You get the picture.

Manta's Regulator Necklace is derived from technical divers that had a need to keep their back-up regulator close when needed. The Manta Regulator Necklace is made from soft yet durable silicone rubber and is perfectly designed to fit around a diver's neck, with or without a hood keeping your auxiliary air source close. Necklace will not stretch out of shape with the no-memory silicone rubber design.

Regulator Necklace is available in multiple, and easy to install by simply stretching the mouthpiece loop over your regulator's mouthpiece to secure. It will work with all types of mouthpieces; standard, comfo-bite style and even moldable mouthpieces. Regulator Necklace has a 7" (17.8cm) diameter with a 22" (56cm) circumference.

RON B  I am a size large male and it fits with room to spare. It will fit most adult males unless your very large, like the 300lbs variety. It may fit a huge guy, but if your big buying local may be smart. I have a good buddy that is a big guy, and he shops locally for all fit things. LP does have a good return policy.

MANFRED J  Thank You all! I think I will use this to attach my octo, and as a plus it also frees up a D-Ring on the BCD. I just wanted to know that you can pull the reg out fast in case a buddy needs to get to it fast... so thank you!
GREG G  This necklace is PERFECT for your spare ocopus regulator. That is exactly what my wife and I use it for on every dive. Since it is in the safety triangle your buddy can get to it fast. We also use Doctors earplugs and the necklace is a perfect attachment of the filament holding the earplugs from washing away should they come out of your ears during the dive.
JB D  You could certainly use it for the purpose you are asking about. I personaly would not want a stressed diver grabbing for my octo so close to my primary. I attach my primary to it (a zip tie is required to connect the hose to the rubber) so that if it gets ripped from me it only goes a few inches.

Allan S  Hi I've been using Manta regulator necklaces for years they work great! The answer to both of your questions is YES.
JEFFREY B  I believe its mainly for holding your primary regulator near your mouth, but i suppose you could loop it throught a d-ring for your octopus. It does hold a regulator very securely.
KEITH P  Yes, You can attach your octo to this (I bought the yellow one..)...Regulator can be pulled very easily if needed in an emergency situation. I hope this helps....
