Perfect size. The clip is sturdy. Nice having a clip for the pencil.

Good slate

By CHARLES C.

These are good slates! They have a durable clip to fasten to your D rings on a BCD or can fit in a pocket. Just the right size for recreational divers and I have my students use them for our continuing education classes.

Great communication tool for when you can't talk while beneath the surface. Underwater slate comes with both pencil clip and pencil tethered made of latex tubing to prevent lose. Slate is blank on both sides for lots of writing area. Slate is also equipped with a nylon webbing tethered corrosion-resistant stainless- steel carabineer for attachment to BCD. The Innovative Scuba Concept Junior Pro Slate measures 4" x 6" (10.2cm x 15.2cm).

Questions & Answers

Questions about this item:

Jeff R  Is this slate fairly easy to erase underwater?
Walter M  So-so. I use sand and it works OK. Back on land, Sea-Buff or some other light abrasive works wonders.
SCOTT B  Haven’t tried it erasable on surface with magic eraser
JEFF E  I'd say it's no harder to erase than most other slates, that is to say, it's not very easy. If you bring a small piece of scotchbrite or scouring pad, that's your best bet, but the surest way to erase it clean is with some soap and a mild abrasive once back on the surface. I assume that I won't be erasing and consume real estate on the slate judiciously. Others swear by the "magic" etch-a-sketch type slate, which does erase cleanly underwater. They are more expensive.
ANGELA C  Not really. You need a magic eraser and some scrubbing to get it clean.
KIN F  Yes, I used bottom of my palm or glove.
Jeff R  Awesome Kin. Thanks!
STEVEN J  Seems as easy as any other standard slate
Jeff R  Thanks Steven. I've only used a slate once or twice, so I'm not very familiar with them. Can you just rub the writing off with a finger while under water? Thanks.
Shopper  What are the dimensions of this slate?
LeisurePro S  This Junior Pro slate measures 4"x6". The regular Pro slate measures 4.5"x7.75"
Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
TIM N  I want a smaller more streamlined slate. I hope this small one will do the trick. I also wanted a slate that I could connect onto an surface marker buoy in an emergency.
CHARLES D  I chose this item so I may attach it to my surface marker buoys in the event of an underwater emergency during technical diving.
ALAN C  Carabiner is heavy but strong. Good slate. Size Good..
WILLIAM Y  I prefer the slate with the large pencil and coil lanyard. The 5X7 3/8 size.
MICHAEL K  small size, small price and ready to use.
