It's a very lightweight vest. There is a pocket on the back, 10" wide and 8" deep that expand a bit. There's no padding.

Yes. there are 21 pockets for everything.

The pockets on the wearer's left side can hold lenses up to about 7 inches long. Anything longer than that would be hard to carry.

Vest has lots of pockets. Don't know how big a pocket you need. I took my vest on African safari. It worked great. I had a small camera and still got great pictures. I bet that at least one pocket will work for you.
