HP splitter

Exactly what i needed to add an analog back up.

Do you need more high-pressure ports on your Scuba regulator? Add an additional high-pressure port to your regulator's first stage. Additional port allows for 360½ swivel. Adapter has one 7/16-20 male to two 7/16-20 female outlets (common HP port). Adapter makes a great addition for the safety minded diver who wishes to run a pressure gauge and air-integrated dive computer off the same HP port or for regulators with only one HP port. The XS Scuba High Pressure Port Adapter is made from corrosion-resistant chrome plated brass and is rated for 5,000 psi (345 bar).

Questions about this item:

Mark G  When one port is unused, can it be plugged with a standard HP plug?
Hugues B  Yes
MARK G  Thanks for all the good answers! The reason for this is to have a SPG with a transmitter, and have the ability to remove the transmitter and put it on another reg. It would be easier to remove that, than to remove the adapter and replace it with the SPG which has to be removed and placed back on the reg. I only have one transmitter. Does that make sense to anyone?
SHANNON S  yes -
BILL A  Yes indeed but why would you ever do that?
Joe B  I put a plug in the port when I remove the integrated air gauge for storage, just to keep the port clean. I guess I have not been diving with the plug though, since my new computer has integrated air. I assume it would be fine.
JEFF S  I no longer use mine because i bought a new computer, but as I recall, yes, you can use only one of the ports. I don't recall, but it may be set up initially for only one port to be used. It's Leisure Pro, though. Buy it and find out. They'll take it back if you can't make it work!!!
ERIC B  Yes, but wouldn't it be easier just to use the straight port then?
STEVEN G  Yes.
Paul B  Yes a unused port can be plugged off with a standard plug.
HUBERT K  yes
LARRY MICHAEL L  I don't see why not. But, why would you use the adapter if you don't need the second port?
DAVID K  yes
CHRISTOPHER P  Yes, you can insert a plug in either or both HPpirts if desired. Cp
Jason P  Yes, although I'm not sure why you'd do this, unless you have a high-pressure accessory that you don't use on every trip. Fittings are all standard.
WAYNE M  Yes, but it would be better to just remove the adapter and plug the first stage.
RONALD C  Yes you can but by doing so you are defeating the purpose of the device. I connected my HP hose to one end and wireless adapter to the other this way I always have a backup in place that the purpose the the second port. Hope this helps
EARL W  Is this adapter compatible with Nitrox?
Daniel J  Yes since you use your regular regulator with nitrox below 40% EANx. I would have this O2 cleaned if I used it on a pony with 80-100% O2.
Francois B  I bought the port adapter in summer 2015; I must have done about 36 dives; including 6 with nitrox; I was recently certified with nitrox; I had no problem, the equipment show no damage; I am not an expert, you can use standard diving equipment up to 40% oxygen; I see no reason why it should be different with this port adapter; I am happy with the piece of equipment, have fun Earl
LARRY MICHAEL L  My understanding is that it is. Probably up to the standard 40%. More than that, it would have to be oxygen cleaned.
Juan C  Yes
STEVEN G  I would guess that it is, at least up to the usual 40%. I do not think I have ever seen a HP fitting or device with a Nitrox or Oxygen rating. Very very low to no flow is not conducive to combustion even at high O2 levels. The tank, Valve and 1st stage are much more of a concern for O2 saftey
Blueline E  I use it with enriched without any problems.
DAVID K  Yes it is, I found that on the manufacture's website, but don't remember where. I have many dives with nitrox with this on the port.
RALPH F  Is this adapter compatible with Nitrox? Yes, I've used it on four dive trips - about 50 dives - on which I used Nitrox and it has worked fine. (I use it to provide to my BC inflater hose and the first stage part of my integrated air computer.)
EARL W  That's what I'm doing I have an analog pressure gauge now. However, I am upgrading my computer to a horseless and air integrated. I still want my gauge as a back up in case the transmitter fails that way I don't have to abort my dive. Thanks for the info!
EARL W  Hoseless not horseless. Dang autocorrect.
RALPH F  That's exactly why I have I and how I use it. I misspoke - I use it not for the inflater hose but for the analog pressure gauge and the integrated air computer transmitter. It works well.
Paul B  Yes no problem to use with recreational nitrox mixes, recommend use of an oxygen safe lubricant for the O-rings.
EARL W  Do you have one in particular you reccomend?
Paul B  For EAN mixes 40% O2 and less it likely would be OK to use just a little silicone grease but being more conservative I typically will use Christolube 116 or Tribolube 71 (these are usually used for higher or pure O2 mixes).
EARL W  Thanks! I appreciate the recommendations.
ERIC B  Yes, provided you are using it for recreational nitrox mixes (less than 40% O2). Gas mixtures above 40% require special fittings/O2 cleaning.
Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
JOHN D  We have an AI transmitter but wanted to add a small SPG for backup, this will let us keep both on the left side.
JENNIFER K  Bought an air integrated wrist computer and want to keep the air integrated computer and pressure gage attached as a backup
MATTHEW M  My reg set only has one HP port and I have dive computer with transmitter. But do not want to give up my gauges.
JOHN S  add transmitter to regulator with one high pressure port
Benoit T  Great product, great service.
Emmanuel H  To instal Mano and transmitter for sidemount configuration
LARRY MICHAEL L  I got the air integration transmitter for my Mares Icon HD 4.1 but did not want to give up my SPG. This allows me to use both without buying a 1st stage with another HP port.
