Good hose for good cost.

By ADAM W.

We bought this hose instead of miflex as it's way less expensive, great product! No complaints after a lot of dive.

Good quality flex hose

By Steven M.

 -  Ruther Glen, VA, US

Seems to be a well made flex hose. I would not hesitate to get another one when needed.

Looking for a new high-pressure hose for you gauge console? Maybe you want to streamline your rig a bit more? Either way the Blue Reef High Pressure (HP) Flex Hose can meet those needs and more. This super durable HP Flex Hose is made from strong TPEE/nylon fiber/Kevlar. Hose has chrome plated brass fittings and a working pressure of 5,000 psi (345 bars) and super high burst pressure of 22,000 psi (1,517 bars). The 7/16" threaded hose comes in multiple hose lengths depending on your gear set-up needs. Hose is available in multiple lengths (see size dropdown menu above). Hose is black in color with limited sizes in silver.

Questions about this item:

Frank B  Will this work with my Aqualung i550c dive computer?
darrick c  Hello Frank, you would also need this item: https://www.scuba.com/p-xssasb/xs-scuba-air-spool-with-buna-n-o-rings. If you want to replace your current one.
CHRIS N  Why are these flex hoses typically half the price of “Miflex” hoses? Are they cheaper materials? Do they last as long?
Mario C  Hi Chris, great question. to limitations of my understanding they are very similar. For about 10 years now have had Miflex - since flex hoses began to be available, believe they were the originals.. do have some generic flex hoses too, and now don't know which one is which. Have replaced a miflex carbon HP on a recall ( thankyou XS scuba for letting us know) and have replaced a flex hose ( not sure if it was miflex) as it was starting to fray near the crimp. i really like them... my brain too wants the more expensive,, but sometimes my pocket or availability will talk louder.. BLue reef are not PVC as you will find on some less expensive ones ( according to XS scuba site) https://www.xsscuba.com/hoses/miflex-low-pressure-braided-hoses Hope it helps!
YU S  How thick is the hose? It absolutely looks like the diameter is smaller than those of standard rubber hoses, but wanted to compare with MiFlex HP hoses.
C DANIEL R  I don't have calipers, but eyeballed the diameter at 5/16in, 2/16in less than my rubber hoses.
WILLIAM J  The hose OD is 7.7mm or just under 5/16in. I had to get a spacer to take up the gap where the hose enters the pressure gauge housing. The hose is light weight and very flexible for traveling. Have not had any issues with it
Brennan B  What is the best way to measure my old Hose. end to end or just the exposed hose?
PAULA K  measure end to end
BRUCE B  Measure end to end with a tape measure. The connectors will add about an inch. Go longer not shorter
ALLEN FAGENHOLZ F  I think it is end to end but I am not sure because the Leisurepro service department found a crack in my old hose and called me. I had them install the new Blue Reef high pressure flex hose which has worked fine on two dive trips.
C DANIEL R  When you shop for a new hose, the advertised length will be connector tip to connector tip, so that's a logical way to measure your old hose.
KEVIN R  Will this hose swivel?
F. JAY I  Yes
JONATHAN C  Yes it does. If you haven’t taken one apart before, there are good tutorials on YouTube. There is a barrel insert that goes between the hose and the SPG- that is what enables it to swivel. It’ll come with either the hose or the SPG (I think the SPG, don’t remember specifically).
William L  Yes. The gauge swivel is "created" by the "spool", which is basically a hollow, polished steel dowel, about 3/4" long with an O ring on each end. I had to use pliers to pull mine out of the house end which damaged the spool so just order a new one with the hose (it should come with the hose but it doesn't). Use a minimal amount of SILICONE GREASE (NOT PETROLEUM) on the spool for assembly. Good luck.
BRUCE B  The hose is fixed on the 1st stage. It swivels on the SPG end. Nice hose. I will buy it again when needed. I am a level 2 Instructor.
C DANIEL R  Yes, the end which attaches to the accessory component does indeed swivel.
NHAN P  No, it won't. However, It's very flexible. Good product and Leisurpro always has a great price.
RICHARD H  Yes
Kenneth A  Yes
John Y  your SPG gauge will turn 360 degree at the hose connector....., Sorry... on the previous comment... is for LP hose which I purchase for myself and wife equipment.
John Y  no.. but I add a LP Hose Adapter or you can get Omni 2nd Stage Swivel or XS Scuba Swivel Adapter
Anthony B  No swivel
Dive I  Yes at the gauge side
