The Hollis aluminum backplate is well made, perfectly finished, fits exactly with my STA on a Halcyon wing. Lighter than some other aluminum backplates, it still has held up with no dents or dings after a week of live-aboard diving in the Pacific, all done from skiffs. Lots of tank handling was done by others, Im really impressed by the way the plate resisted damage.
The Hollis Back Plate is engineered to fit closer to the cylinders preventing GAPEOSIS, creating a tighter profile and as a result reduces drag. The edges on the outside of the Hollis 5052-grade hard black anodized aluminum back plate are radius formed to fit the Hollis BC, thereby preventing back plate chafing of the BC. The webbing that passes through the slots in the back plate must continue to function throughout the dive season without appreciable abrasion. The slots, holes and edges of the Hollis Back Plate are fully de-burred eliminating sharp edges that can cut you and your harness system. I am 1.78m and it fits me well. It is adjustable on the wing and tank and you can adjust the webbing to fit your individual sizing. I use it with doubles to decrease weight over stainless but if your plan to use it with a single tank, you may want to buy the stainless version which is heavier and will allow you to carry less lead weight.

you should be fine, its not the big. most of the wing and tank will cover it up and the backplate won't even seem like its there.

Should be. I looked up both of them and don't see why they would be mountable. I am running the hollis harness and bladder but it shouldn't be a issue.
