can i switch the bite guard for a smaller one?

I Just replaced my mouth piece with a smaller one that is very comfortable and easy to keep in my mouth. It is the Aqua Lung Comfo-Bite Small Black Mouthpiece. This mouth piece is the same install diameter as the existing mouth piece but it does require a tie wrap. I bought the flat 7" No Bump Cable Ties (5 Pack). It was very easy to change out. Be aware of the location of the tie wrap so that the clamp part is in the best location (watch a how-to online video), and when you clip off the excess end just carefully file and smooth any sharp edges. I removed the existing mouth piece easily by slipping a letter opener between the mouth piece seal and snorkel - it pops right off.

I'm not sure if the mouthpiece is interchangeable, it might be, I haven't needed to try. The stock mouthpiece is pretty comfortable though.

So I am not sure how well the replacement mouth guard will fit but I think it will. If you don't want to take The chance on a 10$ part then I would email oceanic and will be able to tell you for sure. If you have not purchased it yet I can tell you that my mouth guard is super soft. I hope this helps you.

I am not aware of another mouth piece that would fit it perfectly. It may exist. Sorry for not being precise.

My expensive dry snorkel is broken so I need a replacement. I bought the cressi dry snorkel last year and I use it on another mask but it’s only OK; had to replace the mouthpiece on the cressi. Fingers crossed that this one will be great.
