After 16 years of diving I was considering giving it up because I have never had a mask that didn't leak badly or a mouthpiece that was comfortable. Enter the OTS Spectrum. I got the mask on Thursday and went diving Saturday and Sunday. I can honestly say I will never go back to a standard mask/reg. In multiple dives of nearly an hour duration I never once had a leak. Zero, zip, nada. Not only that, but no jaw pain whatsoever. If I had more air I could have stayed comfortably under wate...r longer than an hour no problem. The silicone is nice and thick and the straps are thick and very solid. There are also five mounting points for camera's, lights, whatever. Both equalizing and clearing are easy. And surprisingly, the manual is very good. Tells all about the mask and most importantly, tells you exactly how you should clear the mask.
I waited on buying this for a while because I thought $400 bucks was way too much money for a little rubber and glass but do yourself a favor and try one. I think if you tried it you would buy it.
I?m typically skeptical of new ideas with respect to gear. This made me a believer. The mask is comfortable and works as advertised. I cut down on air consumption since I breathe in-and-out through my nose. Also, no more stiff jaw after long dives.I wish that it was cheaper, but you get what you pay for with this mask. I highly recommend getting the ambient breathing valve and using with a lightweight regulator. I use it with a Mares Prestige 15x and it works great.
With the Spectrum, Full Face Mask, Ocean Technology Systems created the best full-face mask (FFM) on the market that allows divers to user their own regulators and eliminating the heavy cost associated with standard Full Face Masks (FFMs), without sacrificing luxury. The Spectrum FFM provides a simple method to adapt your own regulator to the mask by eliminating the bite down mouthpiece and tying your own regulator in with the rest of the FFM. This allows for some of the best features of OTS's other Full Face Masks: no jaw fatigue, no dry mouth, double seal for a better fit, five-point head harness and clear communications.
The all new Spectrum FFM has a coated tempered glass/iridium safety visor for exceptional and a wide field of vision. The skirt is manufactured from hypoallergenic silicone rubber with upper and lower visor clamps made from black polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) and the 5-point head harness made from EPDM a natural rubber blend. The inner frame, buckles and buckle locks are manufactured from glass filled zytel. OTS Spectrum FFM is tested to a maximum diving depth of 164' (50 meters) per EN 250:2014. OTS Spectrum FFM is designed for water temperatures below 50° (10°C) and is suitable for cold-water diving applications. Ultimately, cold water performance is dictated by 2nd stage regulator being used. OTS Spectrum Full-Face Mask is tested for diving applications with breathing air per EN12021. OTS Spectrum Full-Face Mask has been tested per the European standard EN 250:2014. Mask comes with an owner's manual.

What is the manufacturing date/year on "black with clear lens"?

Hello Feb/2023.
ADAM W
Does this have everything you need included or will I need to buy extra stuff?
MACKWOODS M
No it lacks a back up regulator safety fast insert. The reg goes in difficultly as it is, and if it comes out under water it would be very hard to put back in. You need to make an adapter with a taper and rounded edge, so that if the reg pops out underwater or you need buddy 's air you can just pop it in quick like how a quark is tappered to go in easy and further up is bigger than the opening of a bottle so that it seals.
Also the side ports only work with their radio and not ocean reef radio, I had to get a magnetic reedswitch and heat moldable plastic to rebuild the button so it fit the mask.
darrick c
Hello Adam, everything would be included in this but the regulator you are planning on using with this mask.

can a light be mounted to this mask?
darrick c
Hello John, you would need to mount the light to one of the 5 mask straps.
Michael T
Well, I have a go pro mounted to mine. Now I know there is light styles that would mount like a go pro. OTS does offer a universal light mount for the side of the mask. If you search OTS accessories, you should find what your looking for. Good luck

Can this mask accommodate corrective lens?
Dean A
There are no specific kits for this mask but you should be able to find some that will fit. The lens pocket or “eye” part is very similar in size and shape of many different masks out there. My Scubapro and Oceanic mask lenses are nearly identical to my Spectrum so I wouldn’t think it would be that difficult to find some that will fit.

I agree glasses inside this mask is a NO.
not enough room, fogging issues, unable to adjust them if they shift.
contact lens would work, and the best safest option purchase the adhesive lens.correction for your mask.
aside from that, BEST MASK EVER! does not leak! fogs on the surface not bad at depth like all other masks, super easy to put on take off and even clear while diving. oh did I mention you can chew gum!! so now my ears pop way easier and no salt water taste no jaw fatigue no lip pressure at 80ft best mask ever!

It should if you purchase the adhesive interior lenses. It definitely won’t if you think of wearing glasses with it. Wearing glasses will break the seal & cause it to leak. In my opinion this mask in particular is safe to wear with contact lenses, I have own this mask for over a year & has yet to leak at depth.
