Very nice

Sharp / Rust resistant

Popular with divers for heavier cutting purposes, shears will easily cut thru just about any entanglement. Shears are constructed from marine grade stainless steel for better corrosion resistance. The heavy-duty nylon webbing sheath provides a secure fit for the shears. A high viz red quick-release hook-and-loop lanyard keep the shears firmly in place. Two webbing loops on the back of the sheath allow it be worn on a standard 2-inch waist belt or other smaller webbing. Shears are also sold individually (no sheath).

Tips
• Apply a light coat of silicone grease to the blade to help protect against corrosion.
• Rinse in freshwater and allow to air-dry after use to keep shears in best condition.

Questions & Answers

Questions about this item:

REGINA R  Daisy chain, does that mean the shears are attached to a daisy lanyard?
DANIEL L  You can attach it to any type Molle pack. I have them attacked to a thigh pocket custom made.
REGINA R  What is a Molle pack? Where I want to attach it is to my bc shoulder strap. Would this work? I understand daisy chain in terms of rolling up line, I just don’t understand in this context. I.E. is the daisy chain attached to the shears so you don’t lose them?
ERIK A  No, the shears are independent. The sheath they come on connects via belt or daisy chain method if your dive right equipment is set up with it. I use the shears on a butt pouch for sidemount. No dive right gear otherwise.
DAVID F  Can these shears be packed in carry on luggage?
WAYNE B  no TSA restrict any cutting instrument in carry on
JOE M L  Don’t know. TSA would be a better source.
ART B  No idea. I place it in my checked luggage. Go to TSA website and it lists prohibited items. Since it has an edge I doubt it can be a carry on
Shopper  Are these shears titanium plates or just stainless? How about the pivot point?
BOB S  titanium plated. if you do not rinse them they will pick up some rust. They are however an excellent shear. i carry them on my bcd on every dive and have used them more often than my knife.
MIKE G  I believe the shears are just stainless covered in a corrosion resistant material. That said after a two weeks of diving with them in the south pacific they did show some rust on them. If you want high quality shears these are not it. The holster and retainer are great and work really well. I think Rive-Rite threw the shears in for good measure but they are not high quality shears.
JOE D  I have not tested the metallurgy but have dove with them regularly for about 20 dives and they have not rusted or shown any signs of corrosion. They are in my dive pack along with safety sausage so again go on every dive. They also get rinsed after every dive day. Fortunately I have only used them once, then to modify a wet suit and they still work great.
LEROY A  Sorry I do not know.
Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
PATRICK H  for scuba diving. attache to BCD
JOE M L  I own Dive Rite products, and know they are top quality. I prefer to buy things once. Besides safety, they will be handy cutting off Lionfish spines.
